I don't think msm is a smell. It is a mineral compound for all sorts of natural muscle, etc. Look it up MSM. I don't know about lavender. Don't care for that scent. Aloe is good for skin and irritations. the manufacturer really should have the responsibility of describing their product. But it is a great deodorant spray. JG

Answering in case someone else is wondering about deodorants for sensitive skin) I wouldn't risk it. It contains potassium alum, a form a aluminum. I have read inconsistent things on if any types of aluminum are safe so I personally wouldn't risk it on myself or a child. I would suggest a natural deodorant that is aluminum, baking soda, and coconut oil free as these ingredients can cause irritation. Coconut oil deodorants in particular have a reputation for clogging sweat glands and causing rashes in some people if you read the reviews. Stick with a roll on or spray; though I don't know of one that fits this criteria. Depending on how sensitive someone is, they may be ok with one containing baking soda. I have sensitive skin and use a Food Grade Organic brand roll on without any ill effects. Like most natural deodorants they use essential oils and botanicals which some people may have a reaction to. I have also seen some magnesium based ones but haven't tried any myself. Natural deodorants seem to be trial and error; definitely better than conventional but still got to watch the ingredients.
