I play MTG and in a person to person game, or over a webcam if it's not Spellbook, it's a great way to keep your life counters clear. It comes in a nice little bag and you feel like you're bying something old/wierd from a flea market. But these are solidly made.I wouldn't put them straight in with a deck--at least not directly. There are real rivets that keep the number wheels very sturdy and solid. This is a PLUS for them .... they will probably last longer than my health. If you put it in a deck box, put something firm next to them and not your valuable cards. I have some whiteboard cards for tokens that are plastic and 2-3 of them provides enough cushion to not put a center divit in my cards.I think they work best just in your junk/dice companion box or even your pockets.Personally, I use them most with my Kalamax deck. He has a possibility of getting infinite +1/+1 counters, so I use this to count those up to 100 (which is usually enough in any magic game).

Ok, so I really do like these little life counters. That's why it really hurts me to give 4 stars.I like them because they are really large and they are really simple to operate. How they work is easily known within the first minute of using it. They also have clear lettering that tells you how much life you have. Real simple. Life count goes up to 99, so this could be used as a number counter as well for large amounts of counters on cards.A small gripe that doesn't necessarily make the product 4 stars is that they don't make any other colors for them, or at least none that I can find on Amazon. The two styles are ok, but a black/white one, or a black/purple one, or even colors that reflect the different dual color guilds in MTG, like Boros, Simic, Dimir, Golgari, etc. would be nice. As it stands, the variety of colors available is exactly at 2. A blue/gold one and a green/off-white one. Seriously, Stratagem should look at making more colors of these because I think they're a great product. I get compliments on mine all the time.What makes this a 4 star product for me is how poorly the numbers lined up for the blue/gold one I received. You could tell the printing on the right finger wheel was off center from the diameter of the finger wheel. What this means is the text was not perfectly in the middle of the window it was designed to be shown through and seeing that disappoints me. I expect some sort of shoddiness from some rather affordable life counters like these, but a defect like this in a product is unacceptable for me. It doesn't make me happy to own it.

I use these every Thursday and Friday. I play Magic the Gathering and these work perfect. Simple to use and the fact that they are playing card size means they fit perfectly in my deck box. I recommend this to everyone that wants an easy way to keep track of numbers. The only other thing I could hope for is an additional spinner to keep track of how many times I’ve cast my commander. Like a smaller spinner that went up to 10 would be perfect!!
