Fits right
I wear waist 30 inseam 32 and the small size fit right. These are loose-fitting pants that would allow warm underwear underneath. I haven't tried them on the boat yet but the only minor gripe so far is that there is only one pocket and it is on the front.

Great Pants
I'm 5'9", 31" waist and 31" inseam, 185lbs, and the small size fits perfectly. I use these as hiking pants as well as for casual wear. Check the sizing guide, It's quite accurate. They are roomy in the thighs and calves, however for me they were not spacious enough to wear something underneath them. If you plan on using these as an outer pant layer, order a size up.

Why no boot cut?
I have the Dubliner jacket and love it, so I was wanting to love these as well. They seem just as great, but they were way too tight around my rain boots. Not sure why anyone would make rain pants without a boot cut. They have to assume people are going to wear waterproof boots with waterproof pants, right?! If they were an inch wider at the bottom they would have been perfect. Returned.
