I like that these leak sensors touch the floor since I want to find leaks ASAP. Yes, the sensor might get damaged by water over about 1/8" deep, but I'll get notified way before the water gets that high. I'm fine with losing a $30 sensor to save hundreds or thousands. Some sensors I looked at won't sense water until the water is 1/8" or more. Too late in many cases. They have a very small footprint & easily hide behind toilets & under sinks. They seem to wakeup every 6-12 hours to update the battery status back to controller. So far, so good.
