I was looking forward to tasting these after reading all the good reviews, I don't know maybe I got a bad batch? They tasted stale and old, the chocolate had an artificial taste and an acrid aftertaste.I would love to find a good wafer cookies with natural flavor but this didn't seem to be the one.Update, just opened 2nd package to find that this one was fresh and tasted quite good. Perhaps the first was just an error in quality control. Mistakes happen. When fresh these cookies live up to the reviews for taste, packaging could perhaps be better in that some break and crumbs get everywhere so cookies don't present well when opened but still and all a decent wafer cookie

I adore these delicious wafers. They have a wonderful flavor to each of the various types that are included in the mix. However, I’m not as fond of the somewhat dry, layered wafers with some kind of thin chocolate inside. And out of all the delicious cookies in the variety, the dry, layered ones are overly used. I can almost literally eat all the other cookies in the bag in one sitting (okay I’m exaggerating a little bit, but I’m trying to make a point), and there’s still a bag filled with a huge amount of these ones that aren’t as good. I have actually thrown away a portion of them because I don’t really care for them as much as the rest and there’s just too many of them. If there were less of the plain white wafers with either a thin chocolate powder, or cream in between the wafers, and a little more choice in the other scrumptious chocolate covered, square chocolate sandwich ones, the rods filled with chocolate inside and dipped in chocolate on either end, the sandwich wafers with the bottom dipped in chocolate, I think there’s one that I’m missing, but that’s the majority of these mouth pleasing treats. I politely ask the company to exclude some of the dry sandwich wafers without enough chocolate to enjoy them. I understand and respect that some people may enjoy these particular cookies, so I’m only asking for a change in the amount so that there’s more of the other ones to enjoy. Thanks and keep up the great work!! I’ll continue to order these and rave about them. 😘

...was a loss. I ate a few handfuls but too dry, with lack of flavor, so I tossed.Almost didn't open the other bag, but tried it the following day.They had an acceptable flavor and texture. A few were victims of a warm day so a bit messy.It was worth a try, but won't reorder.

Most of them are good some not so much.

These cookies definitely scratched the itch for European wafer cookies, but the packaging did not offer them adequate protection for international shipping -- or they were drop-kicked all the way from the arrival port to Massachusetts. Many of the unfortunate cookies were broken or had pulled apart, and all of them were covered in a thick coating of cookie dust. At the bottom of the first bag, there was at least a quarter of a cup of cookie crumbs. It's impossible to even match the different varieties to the illustration on the bag; vanilla or chocolate -- they're all sort of tan colored. Again, they taste like European cookies, but you wouldn't want to serve what you'll find in the bag to guests joining you for coffee or tea.
