This was disappointing to say the least, the material is too weak to be able to hold the yarn. All that was achieved was making holes. Kept the yarn and the punch needle but trashed the rest.

Needle is too big and the material is not real monks cloth. I have holes in the strawberry and I can’t finish it. The tool is subpar and difficult to use. Stay clear even though it’s cute.

The needle is too big or the yarn is too big or the material is too thin. I don’t know which, but it doesn’t work. There are limited instructions. I followed all of them and couldn’t get it to work properly.

The kit is definitely beginner friendly. I love the pen, it's adjustable and easy to use. My one complaint would be the threader. It's super flimsy and while I haven't had issues yet, there's only one and I don't have anything to replace it, so overall just a little inconvenient. Overall I think this kit is awesome for learning and starting out. You get a good embroidery hoop and a great pen that you get to keep for future projects. This is a definite must buy.

I am a beginner and was so excited to learn a new craft but I'm super disappointed and frustrated!Although there are beautiful instruction inserts, it doesn't explain how to stretch the cloth on the ring. Do I cut it first? It also doesn't explain whether to punch on the front or back, do I tie the string?Also, after watching several videos because it didn't seem to be working, it's obvious this is the wrong cloth and the string the the wrong material.Each punch created a huge hole and the string won't even slide through the needle.I was not able to do any of the project.I would NOT recommend!

I bought this kit as a gift to my sister who is definitely NOT crafty but is wanting to learn some kind of needlecraft. She attempted crochet and it was beyond her. I thought punch needle might be a good remedial craft for her. SHE LOVES IT and SHE LOVES THIS KIT! She had completed the first project within 2 days of receiving the kit. She loves the basic designs and feels empowered on her creativity and crafting journey.

This is the second kit I have ordered from Amazon, the first kit was wonderful from a different company then this one called Spinny. This kit however does not have good materials in general. The cloth, the yarn, the threader and even down to the hoop. The yarn is too large for the punch needle and gets caught constantly so it yanks your punches right back out as you’re trying to continue your punching. I attempted to use the original threader that came with the kit and couldn’t even pull the yarn all the way through, I ended up having to use a threader that was stronger from another kit. I don’t typically leave reviews but as someone who really enjoys this craft it’s really disappointing.
