We got this set to use for guests and parties. The smaller dessert spoons and forks are perfect for most deserts and the gold color looks expensive and complements most like colored dinner sets and bowls. I have a white set with a gold border and these pair so well that people thought it came with the desert dishes. The leaf design on the handle looks great and adds enough flair to make these look different from ordinary designs. I have used these in the dishwasher several times and have not had any issues with the color or the shine.
