I love this feeder but it had one major flaw- -it doesn’t protect the seeds very well from moisture and seed will Cake and mildew at bottom. When I first fill it, it’s very popular but after a rain, the birds begin to avoid it until I dispose of remaining seed and clean it out. This design flaw was unexpected - it does have a sort of shelter over it- i love that it lights at night and I think it’s lovely so despite this major flaw I gave it four stars and am going to try to find a way to provide more shelter for the seeds without blocking the solar panels.

The wholes for drainage are too small and there aren't enough. It molded all the food I put in it.I made bigger wholes easier than returning.

No drainage holes, so all wiring got completely corroded in one month. Gave as a gift - used only from May thru June. Embarrassed that this gift fell apart so quickly.
