I've purchased the no brand name type toners and it ruined one of my laser printers. I'm not saying the cheaper alternatives aren't good but I'm still trying to remove the ink from the rollers caused by inferior toner cartridges. This may be more expensive but you never have to worry about leaks and compatibility issues.
