As Described Good Value
Got exactly what was described. Appears well made, plastic oil/grease bottle a little cheap but the tools were good quality and all threaded together as designed. I read a lot of reviews that people had problems fitting in their butt stock. if done correctly no problem. Bag with cleaning rods in bottom holes multitool, breach brush and oil bottle in top hole. Tight but no rattle. Suggest you put a little oil on all the steel rods and multitool as very dry. I would recommend this to other. I used in an M1A Match Grade rifle. I cannot comment how it may fit in other variations.

Does not fit the Springfield m1a
To be fair I am rating this 5 stars because the kit appears to be new, well made and I assume it fits the M14 buttstock. I, however, purchased it thinking it would fit in my my Springfield M1A scout squad butt stock but it doesn't. Most items in the cleaning kit fit in the M1A scoutsquad butt stock, but I couldn't get the bore brush in there once everything else was added. It does however, clean my scoutsquad just fine.

GREAT piece of kit
So, in all fairness, I was never issued an M14, so this is purely from a consumer standpoint. This is a great piece of kit to complete your M14. The cleaning rod is stiff, powder coated, and my only complaint is that a few of the segments don't completely screw in, but having used surplus kits before, this doesn't remotely surprise me, nor does it detract from form when disassembled or function. All parts are present, and despite what I've read about the lubrication bottle, it seems fairly tough. The sleeve for the rod is already falling apart, but again, the GI Surplus sleeve was often referred to as "self disintegrating", so this is right up to par.I cannot tell whether this is new production from china or actual surplus, but it holds up, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.

It will do the job
First off like the title says it is what it is it will do the job in a pinch. I bought this for my SOCOM 16 and wen I received the M14 cleaning kit everything was there nothing was broken so that's a plus. However As others stated all the metal is corroded and looks like crap. Which tells me obviously this kit is made out of cheap metal. Now my original 1943 cleaning kit for my M1 Garand still looks like today it rolled off the factory line so needless to say I'm kind of disappointed in the quality aspect of this M14 kit product. However all you have to do as I have in the pictures take a wire brush or I used a bench grinder with a wire wheel knocked all the corrosion off and it looks great. I took it a step further and primed all the metal with automotive primer and spray painted it black with high heat grill paint so it will stick very well to the primer. Now the M14 kit looks great much better than it did when I received it. After all it's going into a new SOCOM so I'm not worried about preserving the original finish on this cleaning kit. If you are though just wire wheel it and be done

Great Replica cleaning kit
Shipping was fast. Kit looks like Military issue and will clean and lube your M1A. It fit into the stock easily. Have filled one end of the lube container with CLP and am leaving it out over night to see if it leaks. After several hours not a drop has leaked. Very happy with this cleaning kit. Bore brush works perfect. Nice to have inside the stock and with the rifle. Highly recommended.

Value vs authenticity? It's worth it.
This kit is obviously a reproduction but it is good enough for a quick clean at the range or, if you don't feel like getting out the top-end kit, to use at home. The uni-tool is of thinner metal than the original and I used some gun-grease on the ball & socket to be sure the cleaning rod would spin freely. The cleaning rod has an additional half-length piece that has a more shallow threaded female end for the brush to screw into. I suggest using one less of the regular rods than you do usually, the brush will still come out at the breach end.For the price, and for what I use it for, it merits the five stars.

Good Kit
Fit well in my Stock and has a tab that hangs out of the hole so its easy and fast to access. Only complaint is the brass brush did not fit the rods but i had plenty others. That did work. This kit is great for spot and stalk hunting were you can trip and end up with mud dirt our snow in your muzzle. Our even if it happens to one of your buddys. Almost forgot the multi tool works awesome!

Very Cool near "OEM"
So-I bought this just to store in the buttstock of my new Springfield Armory M1A1 SOCOM 16 Tanker. I would never use this to clean this particular firearm. There are so many better and newer products for real cleaning. But - what else are you going to put in the buttstock? A power bar? A condom? It's kind of cool and a good conversation starter. I suppose if you have to bug out quickly during the zombie apocalypse or covid pandemic, and all you can do is grab your M1A1, some spare mags, and maybe a red bull, the cleaning kit will be better than nothing.
