1997 Toyota 4runner 2wd
I’ve ordered parts from a-premium. I was skeptical at first because of the inexpensive price. But I can’t afford $1,000 price point for OEM. Fit right in like a glove and it does the job.

So far so good
Bought for 04 Tacoma 2.7L 4x4 and a 5speed manual. Went in easily enough and fit well. The hardest part was getting the old rack off. So far no leaks and the steering feels smooth. Quality seems high enough for a non-OEM part like this. Only time can tell from here on out!

Essential upkeep
Replaced the rack & pinion on a Toyota 4R 2000 2.7 L. Brand new.. not rebuilt .. Top quality. Works fine.

First one was damaged
The first one they sent was damaged, but the replacement was perfectly fine and works great

Missing bushing
Did not come with passenger side replacement bushing for the clamp. Since bushing are half the problem with steering racks this is notable. Other wise seems to work OK after I ordered missing bushing.

Garbage, do not buy! Plus not OEM ITR lockring compatible.
Update... Thing's garbage. It won't hold alignment even after tightening the rack a few times. It just keeps loosening up. I figured it would be okay being that it was brand new and not a remanufactured one. I'm hoping it lasts till I can get an OEM R&P plus a new alignment. Install went great and the rack had witness marks for centering. The only thing is that I replaced the inner tie rods with OEM, which is probably lipstick on a pig, and the rack doesn't have the channel on the tips to fit the lock rings on OEM ITR's and you have to use lock tight to make them stay. So 3 stars for that. Now I hopefully get a few years before doing this repair again...
