Can several on/off periods be set in 24hrs?

No it can’t. When I researched this heater the blurb suggested it could. Dissapointed.

Is this heater expensive to run as hearing conflicting reports .

Hi, you would need to know what your energy supplier charges for electricity per KWH and then calculate accordingly. Personally, I'm not a big fan of this radiator. I much prefer the Puremate one which is a little bit more expensive but seems to give off a better heat on the lowest setting
