This little gadget makes me so happy! At last-my coffee and tea stay hot! Not just warm, but hot! I was worried that mugs with a foot wouldn’t stay as warm as those with a totally flat bottom, but so far every mug I’ve used has worked great. I like that it is weight-sensitive and turns off automatically if nothing is on it. No buttons to mess with, just an indicator light to show that it’s on.

I was spoiled from using an Ember cup for the last 3 years, so when it died I couldn’t go back to the quick cooldown of my old ceramic mugs. But I didn’t want to spend 100 bucks for a new Ember mug so I compromised and bought one of these hot plates instead. It works fine, except for one thing, the spring loaded switch that turns it on and off gets stuck in the on position sometimes so I need to pay close attention to the power light and make sure it’s off when I’m done using it. Not sure if other people have this problem as well but it’s not something I’m overly concerned with so I’ll keep it, but it’s the reason I give it 4 stars instead of five.

This product delivers exactly what it promises. The quality is solid, it’s easy to use, and it performs reliably. While there’s always a bit of room for improvement, the overall experience is very positive. It offers great value and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for something dependable.

I like the safety feature (how the heat is activated). The temperature is great too! I can keep my soup warm/hot in a mug too

I had bought two for my wife.. one for the office and one for the family room... the office one quit after the first couple of days. The family room one was doing it's job at keeping coffee warm, however today it almost caused a fire. When it heats up, (by the way it does have a microswitch to turn it on and off when the weight of a cup is pushes down on its surface), its keeps on going and as you are not able to control the temp of the surface, there is no way to turn it off if the microswitch fails. It gets so hot that it will melt objects, burn paper and fuse plastic to it's surface. Fortunately the smell of burning gave it away and I was able to unplug it. I can't imagine what might have happened if we had gone out for the day. This also can seriously burn you. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I have attached photos of a book that was burned and plastic that melted onto the surface.Paper burns at around 451f. Amazon should not be selling this product. It's a safety and fire hazard.

Most mornings, I drink two large cups of coffee (16 oz) while catching up on news from YouTube and/or social media. I make instant coffee with boiling water from an electric kettle, so it’s crazy-hot when I first sit down with it. But I’m not a fast drinker, so I would typically end up drinking the last 1/3 at room temp. Finally broke down and bought a warmer. I like the fact that this one only turns on when the weight of a cup pushes the device down and presses the switch button on the bottom. This prevents fires from carelessness, as it sits on the table next to my recliner where I eat, watch TV, use the laptop, etc. The table is always cluttered, but I don’t worry about napkins or paper getting hot because they don’t weigh enough to activate the switch. Device keeps the mug and contents warm. It makes the bottom of the mug hot to the touch, but not so hot that it’s dangerous to set the empty hot cup on a paper towel or coaster when the coffee or tea is gone. My only wish is that the footprint were a wee bit smaller. It takes up quite a bit of room on my side table. Heating surface could be a full inch smaller in diameter and still easily accommodate my oversized mug. Still love it, though!

Great product!! Delivery in my area- not so much. I only have mine because of honest neighbors. After using it a few times the smell of burnt plastic and electronics became to unsettling, no longer safe for use.- Not recommended
