Podiatrist applied this over my open toe wound. After the instructed 3 days, it covered the wound. Anyone notice purple/blue color around it though?

I used under a Doctor's care open wound specialist who when it did that we clean it up changed dressing again each day and just used benadine twice a day to dry it out and it helped it heel stay off your foot

Can this dressing be cut into pieces for smaller wounds?

Yes you can cut it as long as the wound is covered.

I ordered one and it comes tomorrow but I wondered what the expiration date is?

They last about 6-8 months before they start to change color

What should this product look like and feel like? Should it be moist or dry? I want to make sure I get a genuine, fresh product.

It’s a soft material, absorbent. For my purposes the doctor had me soak it with saline to pack a wound and wanted it to become like mush and it does. Conformed to my wound well to help new tissue grow.
