Problem Fixed
Installed today and corrected the problem. No more clicking and the part fit perfectly in my 2011 JK Jeep.

If your dash is clicking, this is likely the solution.
If you have a loud clicking in your dash, it's likely the blend door actuator. This was a perfect replacement fit, and the part itself is easy to install, it's just a little tricky because of the way Jeep designed the access. It works just like it should and seems to be of good quality.

Excellent Replacement for HVAC System!
Review: I recently replaced my vehicle's malfunctioning blend door actuator with the Dorman 604-029, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The installation was straightforward, and the actuator works perfectly, allowing me to control the temperature inside the cabin once again. It's a quality part that fits well with my vehicle model, and it’s been running smoothly without any issues. I highly recommend this product for anyone needing a reliable replacement part for their HVAC system. Great value for the price!

PITA to install but works!
The recirc motor in my kids 2016 jeep patriot was making all sorts of banging noises. Holy cr@p though this was a pain to replace! I'm very mechanical and have been working on vehicles for 25 years and this kind of stuff boggles my mind why an engineer would place them where they do. You will have to remove the glove box which is easy. Then remove the cover above the foot well, held in with 2 pop pins. You can reach in and unplug the motor from there easily. But then it will be a struggle with a right angle ratchet screwdriver to get the 2 silver screws out holding this in place. The lower one isn't bad but the top screw is done by feel, completely blind. And you'll have to be lying down across the drivers seat with your head down on the floor contorted and cursing to get to it. They are plain Phillips screws, not even the ones with an 7mm head on them for a socket, which would have made it much easier to remove without the tool slipping off. Make sure the one you remove is aligned properly, it should be in the recirc position when the vehicle is off. There is an alignment tool in the box you can put on a ratchet to move the door, but it's easier to just grab the white plastic end of the damper door by hand and move it if needed. Install is reverse of removal with slightly less cursing. No programming required, start the car and let it move through the recirc and fresh air positions, no more noise. It's worth noting there is a mode actuator and a temp actuator, both are this same part. One located on the drivers side of the center console by the pedals and one on the passenger side in same general area.

Needs to be calibrated by a professional
This is an exact duplicate of OEM part. Not very difficult to install, but some mechanical capabilities are required. In order to use it, it needs to be calibrated by a mechanic with a computer screen device.

Fixed my jeeps HVAC issues
This part works perfectly in my 2011 jeep wrangler unlimited. The original part recently broke and I would hear a strange rattle in my car when I started my car and this replacement part fixed that. It took my about 30 minutes to install after watching a few videos but everything related to my HVAC works perfectly again now.

Very Difficult to Install. Lasted one week.
A friend of mine is an accomplished backyard mechanic. He and I spent several hours trying to get the old blend door actuator out of my 2017 Ram Promaster 2500. We could not see more than one screw. I watched some more YouTubes and found out how to remove the shroud under the steering column (3mm allen screws, four of them). For the actuator on the driver's side you need a close quarters screwdriver. I was out of town so bought a 1/4 inch pivoting rachet set from Harbor Frieght (Icon brand was all they had - $40 - whew). With the shroud removed I could just glimpse the screws. Success. Blessed heat immediately. One weel later, next cold snap NO HEAT. Suggest you buy genuine MOPAR. I got one yesterday at local dealer. With tax and "convenience fee" it was 184 dollars. Search for 6801 8109 AA on Amazon and you can find them cheaper. I would definitely get the Mopar brand instead of the 14 dollar one I started with. I should have listened to a guy I met who has 30 + years running a German auto repair shop. He said don't bother with knock offs. Get OEM. Live and learn.

Perfect fit 2011 Wrangler JK Sahara blend door.
Took about an hour to get this installed on my 2011 Wrangler JK Sahara. Of course it was the worst one behind the glove box. I watched a YouTube video and went after it. Worked perfectly once I got it in. I 1000% advise getting a 1/4” thumb ratchet drive if you are replacing this on a JK as well. Great part so far. I’m gonna hope it lasts!

Bought this for a 2014 Dodge Journey. Easy to install with the right tools. Did the following to "calibrate" the actuator manually : 1) Connect the actuator to the power connector, and just let it hang loosely. Turn on the car. 2) Turn the heat all the way up on the climate control. This will trigger the actuator to go to "hot". 3) Manually figure out how the blend door arm needs to be do deliver hot air. 4) The climate control, the actuator and the air door are now set to "hot". Install the actuator to its place and tighten the 2 screws. 5) Play with the heat and verify the air is hotter or cooler. Turn the heat all the way down and verify the air is cool.

Producto recomendable.
