The Manual: What Women Want and How to Give It to Them

This book was life changing for me. I mean that sincerely. I've always done decently well with women but have yet to find myself in a long term, passionate relationship. I kind just assumed that it took time to find someone for which there was a mutual interest, and that I hadn't found that person yet. I've dated some girls in the past that I would consider really good looking, but things would die out after just a few dates / hangouts. I honestly didn't know why. I imagined I just hadn't quite found the right one yet. After a disappointing end to a recent "relationship" I was finally sick of things not working out with the women that I truly wanted. I was also sick of waiting around for answers. I looked for a book that would tell me something I hadn't heard before in the dating space. I didn't even know what I was getting into, to be quite honest. I just picked this book because it had really good reviews, and well, I needed something to read on the topic. The book starts slow. I struggled through the first couple chapters and didn't really want to press on. But I did, and it was so worth it. After the introduction about how society has shaped men and women's roles in sexuality, things pick up very quickly. The author goes on to describe what women really want (confident, direct, dominant men) and the fact that men spend most of their time chasing things they think will bring them closer to women (success in the workplace, a great physique, lots of money, etc) instead of just going after them. Sure, a man with a great job and a great body will help a man stand out on paper, but to get a woman's engine revving, there's so much more to it. This is what I really got out of the book. There's so much stuff to talk about, and the other reviewers here have done a great job portraying the strengths of this book, so I won't touch on everything. I just have to say - this book is incredible. So many women have told me how nice of a guy I am. I've had countless people tell me I'm one of the nicest people they've ever met. I know that sounds incredibly self-centered, but I'm trying to make a point. I was "the nicest guy ever" to lots of girls. I was funny and cute. But I watched those same girls be swept away by jerks and just didn't get it. This book puts all of that in perspective so well. Sure, I just read it last week, so I haven't radically transformed my life yet, but the lessons here are invaluable. This book has literally flipped my world upside down. I now view women / dating / seduction 100% different than I did even just last week. Had I known about this information, I would have paid thousands of dollars for it years ago. I seriously wish I read it way before I did. It's that good and it's that true. If you struggle with women or just want to do better with them, you 100% need this book. I wish I knew the author. I wish he paid me to write this review. That would be amazing. But I don't and he didn't. I'm just blown away by the information in the book. It will be the best $10 you've spent in quite some time (assuming you actually read the book and implement its strategies), I guarantee it.

What I meant by the title of this review, is that this is THE ONLY book AND ONLY source of information on women and seduction that has provided so much information that had helped me and that resonated with me. I don't usually re-read books a lot, but with this book, I just kept coming back to it. I could not put it down. First off, I have read so many other PUA books like The Natural, The A Game, The Alpha Male, amongst others. Over the years I had also looked up on Google about dating and women and seduction which was too overwhelming because there was choke full of information that I had to digest. I even bought an audio program on dating which, in the end, didn't help me much as I thought it would. That's when I stumbled upon this book while browsing on Amazon. I saw how many good reviews it had, and I was also pleased that many of the reviewers were legit and didn't seem like people who only got "paid' to give it good reviews. A majority of people seemed genuinely happy that this book made a big difference in their lives. So I looked at the first few pages of this book in the preview section, and already the author was making sense a of sense about women and seduction. And what I really appreciated about this book was the fact that there was hardly any PUA jargon like framing, value, cold reading, all that baloney. This book is meant for everyone to understand. Now granted, I'm not going into heavy detail regarding the techniques this book provides, because that would be unfair to the author who made such a Masterpiece. I believe people should purchase this book to obtain the wisdom inside. This review will be brief, but I will scratch the surface so you can get an idea on how great this book really is. The author, W.Anton, goes into details on how to attract a woman by utilizing three traits: Being charming, being confident, and taking responsibility. 1. Charm: making women feel good. 2. Confident: Approaching women despite not knowing what the outcome will be. 3. Responsibility: Always being the man who initiates everything; approaching, leading, asking for the number, initiating sex, etc. I recommend the movie Crazy, Stupid, Love. There is a scene with Ryan Gosling when he first meets with Emma Stone's character at the bar that perfectly shows all 3 traits. But what I also really liked about this book that other seduction books don't have is that it talks about "socialization." This was a BIG AND IMPORTANT topic in this book that you need to understand. To be brief, men and women behave only in a manner that is considered appropriate by society. This usually means not being direct with your desires with someone and being indirect. But W.Anton states that we are all animals inside, and it is our natural instinct to want and go after sex. It's only because society deems that type of behavior "inappropriate" that men and women suppress their urges. I totally agree with this. We shouldn't be ashamed in what we want. Life is too short to listen to what society wants, and we should start doing what we want. I also loved how the book was structured. It first starts with information on how men and women are wired and how society influences them, and it also talks about the biological aspect. (Don't worry; no scientific terms if that's what you were thinking) Then it goes into a section on the behaviors that men should adopt. Finally, the latter portion of the book tells you how you incorporate everything from the approach all the way to bedroom, to after. Gentlemen, do yourself a favor and buy this book. I kid you not when I tell you that there have been moments where this book has helped me. It opened my eyes and made me look at the way I was previously acting with women that led me nowhere. Now, you may see that I have not reviewed any other book yet, therefore you may think that I was paid for this or something. I told myself that if I were to review my first book, that it would have to be a great book worth talking about. And I'm glad this book was my first review. I have been in this topic of Pick-Up for almost a year now. Before anyone reads this book or any other book about seduction or "Game", I highly recommend Neil Strauss' "The Game". This books is great in the sense that it will lay down the fundamentals of many subjects about Game: Mentality, Inner Game, Social Conditioning etc. You wont find a cheesy pick-up line, or a "method" like other Game related books say so (trust me I've read plenty) This book really helped me get my new "Social" lifestyle started. The results are truly showing after 4 months of reading it. Overall; A great read to get yourself started in Game or to simply destroy the social conditioning you have had til now

Awesome book, I couldn't quite believe the many positive reviews on here and really now I understand them all. It seemed almost too good to be true based on what some reviewers had said. However, it really lived up to the hype and I got massive value from this book. There is almost no practical how to advice on how to approach or what to say etc which is where this book's strength lies. Instead you are presented with a philosophy which once understood and adopted will shape all of your behaviours naturally. Once you start truly understanding and believing this stuff on a personal level you really can feel the difference in the way you view the world and the way you interact with the women you find in it. And when thinking over my successes/failures with women in the past I could pinpoint specific behaviours that were either in line or not with the ideas in this book which gave me the ability to truly understand why I got the girl or not. I just wish I had this book when I was 17 and I'd recommend it to any young man trying to improve their life and mindset. Brilliant book. My only criticism for the author would be that some sentences are worded poorly on the Kindle format and so you have to read them once or twice for them to read properly. It doesn't detract from the book's message but could make the book even better.

I have read nearly a half dozen other titles of this genre, and some of them I found useful, most I found less so, and the ones I found useful are along the same lines as this book. But I just couldn’t bring myself to believe in a lot of “techniques” that these other people were advocating; i.e. I do not want to dress outrageously or do other things like magic tricks or psychic readings to create attraction with a woman. Whether it works or not, I have no interest in that. The basic premise of this book is much more worth while: reset your basic attitude and mindset to its more natural state, so that you can be the man you were meant to be, the one women want. Actually, after reading this book over and over again I have rethought a lot of things in my life, and it’s been a real load off my mind. I don’t feel that I should start pursuing women when I have done such and such (in perfect shape, rich & famous etc) I can now be much more proactive than that, I will go out and look for women I desire greatly. The author does a smashing job of giving a fairly simplified scientific model of how and why humans are attracted to one another, as those are instincts that serve the survival of our genes, and these instincts are in large part genetic. His explanations are great and are based on real life examples so it makes the principals very believable and clear. The psychological insights the author shares are great, and they are clear thinking and clear cut. There are other good reads, but if you focus on this book alone and internalize the new mindset, you will turn yourself back into the man that society has repressed. Don’t let it go on!

I read a lot of this kind of book and this one is very interesting even if I don't share all the ideas. It is still a very good way to learn how to be around women and with them. it will teach you that women shouldn't be your priority but in fact it is yourself. It sounds selfish but it is true, does your girlfriend is your lover or your hostage or is it the other way around. Very good book if you are in couple or single. Good reading to all of you!
