It ticks my boxes
I was done with fussy scales that required batteries and still didn’t always perform properly. I didn’t want to spend $50 on a new one either. So, for 30-something bucks including taxes, etc. I got the following:1) a scale that doesn’t need batteries2) a scale that can be reset manually with ease. If it’s one or two ticks off then I’m capable of doing the math to adjust the total.3) a scale that can handle the worst case scenario (though thankfully, no one in our family needs anything close to the max.) You never know when a chubby houseguest might need a reality check and be open to it.4) accuracy matches the one that I have now (when it chooses to measure accurately… but when it does, it’s pretty close to the doctor’s scale). I am more interested in the movement than the exact number anyway.5) nice size surface to stand on. I was concerned that my large and extra wide feet might have trouble fitting onto the scale because of other’s comments. I was happy to see that only my pinky toes extended a little beyond the edge. To put it in perspective, my feet are so wide that I often buy men’s sneakers for the wide toe-box in a size 9, & in the absolute widest shoe that they have. FYI, New Balance is the brand that usually has a wide toe-box, for any other reader so afflicted. Even 3X wide women’s shoes aren’t wide enough, and hurt my feet. My shoe wardrobe is a sad thing of mostly New Balance sneakers and Birkenstocks let out to the max almost, and painful flats and pumps for "fancy." I guess I shouldn’t have gone barefoot most of my childhood, lol. Anyway, I hope the size specs help someone else decide whether or not the surface of the scale is right for their feet. Thanks to the honest feedback of other purchasers of this product, I was prepared to take a photo of the scale reading with my phone. I can very easily see the numbers, but I agree with others that it is hard to see the little tickmarks indicating individual pounds. The photo solved that problem, easy peasy. But even without it I will be able to see pretty clearly whether the bold red hand is closer or further away from a given number. Also, thanks to others‘ comments, I will pay attention to the nice non-slip rubber. Mine appears very well attached, but I will be ready with some adhesive should I see the least bit of detachment. Hopefully I will be able to avoid that issue!Size wise, it fits neatly within our standard tiles that are 13 x 13. It should also fit very well on 12 x 12 tiles. It is annoying when a scale wobbles around a bit because of the unevenness of grout lines.

Tip of dial needle extremely hard to see.
It is a good scale for anyone who has binocular vision (which I don't) .The only way I could see the scales read out was to go get my phone and use the zoom,The dial needs to be three times the current size and the scale itself needs to be doubled in size as it is somewhat small for anyone with big feet and I am sure anyone who is buying this 400lb scale is an adult who is larger so they should have bigger feet like me.It doesn't require batteries like my last one that was a 700 LB digital that used four AA's and chewed through them at an astonishing rate and was made of cheap plastic that constantly cracked and broke, it being a digital was really inaccurate and the screen went out last month after two years of use. This scale itself seems accurate and is made of metal with four non skid pads, if they upscaled this to go to 600-700 lbs and made it twice the size with a much, much larger dial then I could easily see giving this a 5 star rating but as it is I will keep looking for a better choice.3/5 stars

Excellent old school scale
I've ditched two hard to use and unreliable digital scales in the past several years. One only worked for two weeks.Really happy with this scale in terms of ease of use, easy to adjust dial, and accuracy. Because it goes up to 400 pounds the numbers ARE very small. I just use my phone to take a photo. I would have been fine with a scale that didn't go nearly as high. If this manufacturer makes other ones my guess is they are also excellent.

Solid product. Hard to read if you have eyesight issues.
This is a no battery scale. It is not too expensive. It is accurate. I simply have a hard time reading it due to my eyesight. There isn't anything wrong with this product. It is simply a matter of font.

Basic scale
Easy to set up, find a flat level service, calibrate with dial in the front of the scale, no batteries needed. Had a digital that every time I was going to use it the batteries were dead. This is what works for me. Smaller numbers so that may not work for some people.

Very good on read very dangerous because it slips out from underneath you.
A very good scale - I only will use analog for its accuracy and ease of resetting the balance and dial. I took off two stars bc this scale is extremely dangerous on tile or even hardwood floors bc it’s slippery and you could fall stepping on or off. Definitely get some rubber pads to go on the bottom if you’re going to use it inside. I have chosen to use my scale outside on the concrete where it does not slip at all. It’s extremely stable and concrete and brick. If you leave it inside and you put a towel or something underneath it it’s going to give you an inaccurate weight reading.
