ROCKYC4T - Military Inspired Public Service Boot

Best Bang for your Buck!
Out of all the boots I've worn throughout military and civilian law enforcement. These are the best boots for your buck. Lightweight and very comfortable. I have WIDE FLAT FEET, normally an 9.5 and its difficult to find boots in 4E size so I went ahead and bought a pair of 10 (2E). It fits wonderful, most likely because of the thin material that will follow around your foot. As a correctional officer, it held up pretty well. I've had these for over 6 months and yet no defects. Also, I hate to admit but my feet sweats real easy, even with dry-fit socks. But with these boots, I sweat less and sometimes not sweat at all. Get these boots and you wont be disappointed! I was the first one who had it at my work, now a few co-workers listened and thanked me.Those who gave 1-2 star because of material falling apart was lucky and landed a defected pair. Just like in auto tires. Not all tires you buy NEW will be perfect.Last time I bought on amazon was for 70 dollars, now the prices jumped a few dollars. I will buy a couple more before the price slowly ascends again and use throughout my career.

Just buy two
I'm in the National Guard, I'm a LEO, FireFighter, and EMT. I spend 12+ hours in boots almost 5 days/week, so finding a good boot is a must. After some searching I'm going BACK to C4T's.I've had Rocky C4T's for years with the military. They've been put through some tough rucks and other exercises. They were comfortable right out of the box and all the way until I left them in a closet for a year where they got stiff in the wrong areas (I'm sure I could work that out)Rocky hit these right on the head if you're a First Responder. Polishable C4T's with the same lightweight yet rugged design. There's no extra zazz written into the making of this boot, which frankly makes it so awesome. I've tried many boots, Solomon X-Ultras were made for standing not walking (ironically), my thorogoods are too heavy for daily use, 5.11s were nice enough. I've run a few half marathons (unintentionally) in these... and spare my own issues my feet felt good.At ~15oz you feel like you're walking barefoot, but the 8" ankles give the boot the grip on your leg to stay there. Now, if you have chicken legs like me (still can't get my calves to grow), you may find extra material in the ankle area. But it really doesn't bother you when the rest fits so form. As these boots don't have any extra padding, I would also recommend going down .5 size unless you wear thick socks. If you have an issue with sweaty feet, fear not. The thin material and ergonomic design allow for air flow to wick your moist sweat away. BuT wHaT iF iT rAiNs? Honestly, I've done a workout in these after being drenched and because of their tight fit they didn't wiggle around. BUT if you're that worried, just get TWO. Seriously, $100 for a sturdy sock? You really can't beat it. And for that price, replacing them frequently (not that I've found you need to) is totally worth it.

buy a half size larger
These boots are about a half size smaller than what they are labeled at. I normally wear a 8.0W to 8.5W i took reviewer's advice and bought a 9EE (9W) and it fit perfect. i will say that the boots do not look the same as the picture will a nice formed toe, but instead look flat and unsightly. not good for a professional appearance. the soles are wedgy and seem awkward. in fact they look an awful lot like those shoes made for people with feet or leg problems. just think reebok easy-striders with the velcro (im being dead serious and not trying to be mean or funny). they are well made and have nice padding and laces. its all in the eye of the beholder i suppose.***update***i decided to keep them and wear them on watch. it was a thirteen hour armed sentry watch which mainly consists of standing in one place at a watch shack while checking ID's for the majority of the time. these boots wear such a relief on my feet! that wedginess comes in handy when you are needing stability and comfort. my knees usually hurt after the eighth or ninth hour of standing, but not with these boots. they are super light and comfortable. even if they look a bit odd, they wear right. again, very very well made.

Rocky but not from Colorado
Here my take on the boot. I'm buying a second pair after a year wearing the last pair. On the size just buy your size . when they break in they fit great but if size big they break in to big. The Laces are so annoying coming un done every 3rd step. It is a nightmare to keep tied and they are a t too long for some reason, I triple tie the knot to get them to stay tied. Why use pharchute cord? I guess they make things different in China. Yes I originally thought these were made in the USA. Rocky \ Colorado Rocky mountiians kinda made in the USa nope Chinese to my dismay. These failed my breaking apart by 3 months shoe test . I have never seen a shoe I dont destory or damage somehow. The seam on one boot started to tear by the lace eylet oh and pray you don't lose the tip off the lace. Impossblie to re thread with said "NATO " eyelet I guess NATO means pain in butt. These boots are the most comfy lightweight, cool looking in a strange punker amry prepper, burnner guy I wear these every day and they last but not too big just the size you always get there speed laces, a pain at night to take off but easy to lace up in.morning. There meant for cops to set in there locker to dress for there shift they pull the lace tie and go . Get these boots the differences is the sole being flat looking without the stupid.treking boot soles every where. These are for the Guy on the move'. I run in these babies some days. They look good in shorts too kinda tactical and practical. Get them there great!

Light and breathable
Great boot for Garrison and trainning. Not designed for the field but already know if you check review and Rocky description of boot. It's my second pair the first pair been good for 5 years doing garrison job and keep my good Lowa boots longer for the field and mission.

Just buy them
Really great boots, I wore them to work straight away and they were super comfortable. as a hospital wardsman/security guard I need boots that are light and comfortable but also look professional. I easily walk 15km per shift and have worn them hiking, Its pretty safe to say that I've put them through their paces.. Future repeat customer for sure. I might even get a set of green ones as dedicated hiking boots
