From the pictures, the MMA bag has miserably tiny side zip pockets for personal gear, and this dive bag has one larger waterproof one, which fits what I need. I was able to fit two pairs of boxing gloves, headgear, mouthguard, wraps, shin guards, wrestling shoes, my gi, kneepads, first aid kit, and towel. There is plenty of room in there for an extra set of clothes and other gear. This bag is HUGE but is also light and squishes down so it doesn't look enormous. You cannot see your gear through the dark mesh. I could fit inside this bag, but it is not unwieldy at all. I just received this today, so I can't testify to it's durability. It does seem to be well made. The mesh is thick and looks like it will hold up to some abuse. I'd add a keychain loop and ring on the inside of the side pocket.
