I bought this mix at the recommendation of a friend whose food suggestions are always on point, and I'm SO glad I did! This stuff is rich, decadent, delicious, and takes milk, eggnog, or Baileys soooo well without losing its own flavor. It even comes with a metal spoon to easily dole out the perfect amount (one heaping scoop per mug is what I've been doing). And not some cheapy, easily bent spoon. No, this is a solid metal spoon that you can definitely reuse for a long time to come. The ingredient list tips you off right away that you're about to experience a whole new level of hot chocolatey goodness. Let's compare shall we? The first five ingredients in SwissMiss are: sugar, corn syrup, modified whey, and then finally cocoa, and hydrogenated coconut oil. Ew, that certainly doesn't sound appetizing, and there's still more ingredients. Now let's take a look at Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate & Cocoa Gourmet Powder: Sugar, cocoa processed with alkali, unsweetened chocolate, soy lecithin, vanilla extract. That's it, five ingredients TOTAL. And you can immediately smell and taste the difference. This is a drink to be savored, my newly enlightened friends. So go ahead and add this to your carts, and then buy a few more to give to your friends and family. They will thank you for your good taste and generosity in sharing the gospel of amazing hot chocolate.

This has been the best [premade] hot chocolate powder I have used. When added to hot milk, it's silky and not overly sweet; it's what you want when it's cold or just because. The container seals well, despite my humid location, no issues. The container has been lasting me about a month with almost daily use and using a large mug; great value. I will be buying it again. I have used the mix to make chocolate pudding and it was perfect, I didn't have to add more sugar to my recipe. The added scoop was nice making it an easy measure, plus for baking later, it's good quality.

Just what I was looking for!

I buy it every time, although if there was a type that contains chocolate, I would choose it. I drink it with milk hot. It is delicious, but often children do not like it.

Love this product but it did have a recall. Had to call the maker but they did not return my call. The stars are for taste and the customer service would have gotten 1 star. I had already used it so my container was not compromised or the heat killed any residual salmonella.

The absolute best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted. I used to be a strictly St@rbuck$ girl but this has changed me to making my hot chocolates at home! My recipe is whole milk 2 scoops of the Ghirdelli mix and either whipped cream or extra large marshmallows. It will not disappoint. Be sure to warm the milk before adding in the mix. Hope you enjoy ❤️
