I bought this to add to my diy apron substrate for some of my starts. So far it is doing it's job of retaining moisture. It is a light product, if it works like I think it should I will use on more starts. I will update after awhile when I see how it works in the long run.

Very happy with the quality of this Vermiculite, Course Grade- I mix my own soil and the vermiculite I was buying at the store was not absorbing the moisture like it should ( or like i wanted ) and this one does great.

Making my own african violet soil

I have tried other 'course' vermiculite products and returned a few that were more like powder than course. The Harris Course Grade Vermiculite is the real deal. It might be too course for seedlings and some other 'starter' plants, but it was a perfect addition to the cactus soil mix for and my plumeria cuttings and young orchid plants.

It was a bit coarser than I expected but it worked out quite well. I highly recommend. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Bought this for growing green....who knew I had a green thumb.....well for grass growing.......oh I guess I should elaborate....grass for my cats 🤣

Good qualityI used this for storing my dahlia bulbs over winter. The material is not dusty, larger chunks make it almost plesant to work with.

What can you say about vermiculite.Because it is a “course” type it is extra dusty when handling.Good product, does what it is suppose to do.
