Attention Cat People: THIS!
My cat isn’t typically picky- we found him as a kitten in a Disneyland parking lot, so he’s kind of a laid back, carefree guy who will eat almost anything (he loves turkey legs and churros, but that’s not sustainable). The problem is, nothing excited him, food-wise. He always seemed to be intensely bored with both his kibble and his wet food lol. The only thing that ever interested him was when we opened of a can of tuna, and we know that’s not good for him. Getting home from In n Out the other day, I watched as my cat strolled over to his bowl, maintaining eye contact with me the entire time (maybe glancing at the bag in my hand for emphasis), and the look on his face very clearly said, “In n Out? Seriously? But for me this kibble stuff AGAIN? What. Ever.” So I decided to look for something that would give him some food joy, and $10 was definitely not too much to spend in my quest. SHOCKING results. Like you know when you order something weird on Amazon and you can imagine both the best and the worst possible outcomes? This was the best possible- plus a rainbow and a unicorn. My cat LOVES this food. He is sitting outside of my bedroom door right now staring at me, something he hasn’t done a lot since he was young (don’t miss it that much tbh), waiting for his breakfast. He also follows me to the kitchen, tries to redirect me if I get distracted, and puts both paws up on the cupboard door and talks to me when he knows I’m rehydrating the chicken. I obviously can’t be certain, but I think what he’s saying is, “It’s about time! Real food! thank you thank you thank you! I love you so much!” Is this magic? Totally worth $10! We put a few in water and let them sit for a minute, then use a fork to break them up to a consistency that looks a lot like cooked ground turkey. If there’s extra water, my cat thinks it’s gravy, and he laps that up, which is also good for hydration. No smell! I believe some people felt the price was too high, but we only use 3 or 4 of the nuggets for our huge beast of a cat. Once re-hydrated, we mix it with his kibble to help slow down his eating (because he was totally scarfing this stuff at first). The $10 bag has lasted a week, and there’s plenty left. This is one of those purchases I felt obligated to write a review for, because the world is a really stupid place, and we all need to stick together and share the genuinely good (not being paid to say that, I have no stake in this), just really good, stuff :) :)

good for ferrets
ferrets absolutely love this food, will never feed them anything else. super high protein but price is a bit extreme. it’s easy to mush the pieces in water or just feed dry.

Ferret approved
We buy this for my ferret. She loves it. It’s not hard always fresh when I open it. We have never had an issue with this product. Great amount for the price. Pretty good quality per ferret.

Good Quality and great product, but too expensive
My cats love these. I don't feed it to them exclusively because it's too expensive, but it's great as a topper on their wet food or mixed in with their dry food. Very good quality food and my cats like it. I gave it a 4 only because of the cost. Wish it were not so expensive. It's extremely difficult buying quality, premium cat food these days because the prices are outrageous. I want to feed my cats the best, but it really breaks the bank. I make their own food now with real chicken, beef, turkey, etc. It costs a fraction of commercial canned/dry food and so much better for them, but I still purchase premium cat food as a back up.

Great as a topper too!
I feed my cats a true raw meat diet and I primarily use this as a dry topper. They love the duck/goose, chicken, turkey and rabbit flavors. If one of the cats has an upset stomach, I will feed them a small amount of the freeze dried morsels reconstituted with water.

Good option
I wanted to start a raw diet for my Devon Rex but I just don't have the time and this was a good alternative. I did speak to my vet about this and we went over the ingredients and she approved the Stella & Chewy Freeze Dried Raw Cat Morsels. My cat loved the Chicken and eats it very well. I did order all different flavors and the Salmon and Beef both made him sick at his stomach but the Chicken, Duck and Turkey have been great so I will stick with those 3. The cost is a bit higher but my cat is only 6 pounds so we just do one serving a day and this has lasted a long time. I have it on my subscribe and save every 2 months. Lots of complaints about how to use them but if you just pour a little warm water over them and let them set for a few minutes they break up easily. The Beef is the hardest to break and then the turkey. The chicken is easiest and the Salmon and Duck are good but not as easy as the chicken. Lots of complaints about there being a lot of powder and yes the easier to break up morsels are more powdery but you should be breaking them up anyway so that is really not relevant. All in all for me great investment.

Cat is unfortunately allergic to this chicken
I hate to give it three stars but it's just for the fact of what's happening. I think they are a good company with really good food and they can't control when an animal has an allergy to something or not. But since my cat is allergic to this I felt I needed to put three stars. I like Stella and Chewy products and I've used them supplementally for years with success with many cats, however my Norwegian Forest who actually really likes it crumbled over his kibble is definitely allergic to it. I was able to figure it out fairly fast thank God! My cats rarely vomit and I noticed him starting to itch more and more and more. They get flea medication and rarely go out in the yard with me. It was becoming constant itching and stress? almost over grooming and vomiting, like once or twice a day! I talked to the breeder and it doesn't run in either parents but she agreed that it definitely sounded like a food allergy. I thought I was going to have to go through everything I have one by one but then I realized I had recently repurchased this and he had been eating more and more of it and I've been giving him more and more of it, daily instead of occasionally. I stopped crumbling it on his food and took it away altogether and literally overnight the itching and vomiting stopped (it's been almost a week ) so I think it's either something in the limited ingredients or the fact that the chicken is raw? Maybe it's just a raw factor, I don't know but he does fine on Stella and Chewy's rabbit so I will be going to the other flavors from now on. It's too bad because he really liked this!

I've tried other freeze dried raw before. Our Ragdoll could not handle them, maybe needed a more mature digestive system. BUT, this Stella-Chewy turkey we started very little as a topper. She is up to two nuggets per day now and we will work up to three. I do believe it is because they have many strains of acidophilus in it. Making the higher level of fat easier to digest. Our Ragdoll had beautiful fur before, but in the month of taking this, she has hair growing in very thick. The biggest thing she loves it! Thank you for making a raw that my Ragdoll loves. Highly recommend !!! UPDATE: Just to help some of you to know about your cat or kitten. Cat or kitten can eat the same food. No need for kitten food. A kitten/cat is a carnivore - they eat meat and bugs ewwww. For those of you who use dry grain cat food, I will ask with all politeness when was the last time you saw a cat shucking corn in a corn field? Well I never have. Dry food is one of the leading causes of pancreatitis, bladder and urinary problems. The list goes on. Yes, so you are feeding dry. We cannot change it over night - but in about 2-3 weeks yes. Sprinkle a half a nugget over the dry that is to be eaten immediately. You will notice that with freeze dried raw you cat is going to get full very fast. Way more protein and fat in your cat which is what they need. Our Ragdoll literally inhales when she gets to her dish to smell everything (never did that before) she then sneezes kinda funny but then dives into this food as if it is the last turkey on earth. We also have the dried pumpkin. She is in heaven, that sprinkled over 2 or 3 nuggets a tad of water, sometimes she likes a little tiny bit of wet. Her fur since I last posted she looks like a huge cotton ball coming. She literally purrs when she eats. Folks, this is really great cat food that I can put my name behind as an active member online cat communities. I recommend it to everyone I know who has a cat (no they don't hate me yet ... yet lol) and these kittens and cats are healthy. Love your little fur ball enough to give him or her the very best this product. *no I am not working for Stella & Chewy's* *no I was not paid to say all this either* Purrs to you all!

My fussy cat loved this but I hadn’t realised the bag was so small, it was about 3 ounce so lasted no time. Because of that it’s far too expensive to use and it’s purely because it’s shipped from America. If this was available in the uk I would definitely buy again but this was not value for money.

It is a bit high in fats for my hedgie, but I hive him one morsel every few days and he just can't stop eating it. The more I give, the more he eats. I will soon order a second pack.
