Are they a white light and how long do they last.

The bulb is rated for 3000K, which is the rough equivalent of a "bright white" household light bulb. It is not true white - no halogen bulb is. The bulb is rated for about 400 hours. Depending on the amount of usage, that could be anywhere between several months to a couple of years. Generally, H11 bulbs tend to be less bright than other bulb types, but last longer.

The H11 is a low beam light with most light downward so I would say short as hi beams are long. H9 is long
