Perky-Pet Mason Jar Wild Bird Feeder

Awesome product and customer service; our birds love it and do we; love the design. Had been looking for one like this for some time. Easy to fill/ clean; sturdy. Had some questions so called...EXCELLENT customer service

Very pretty, and handles all sizes of feed very well. As someone else mentioned, the perch is attached to the base with a single pop rivet, not the strongest method, and both mine broke within 2 months. Since I have a rivet tool, it was a relatively simple repair, but I did have to drill out the holes a bit for the American-sized rivets. A small bolt, nut and washer would be a better fix, and what I’ll do the next time.To keep squirrels off, I hang my feeders with very thin stainless steel wire fishing leader. They can’t cut it or climb down it, and if you locate it properly they can’t jump to it.

This is a very nice looking feeder. The feeding holes are large, and several birds can perch on it.When you fill the jar up with food, and put the bottom attachment on, over half the food goes into the bottom of the feeder, so the jar is never full. If you do try to fill the jar up while there’s food in the feeder, it makes a huge mess.It would’ve been more functional if the food could be added from the bottom of the jar that faces up so that the jar could be filled up and continued to empty into the feeding tray.

I blame myself for this but... The squirrels get into this super easy and of course... I just take pictures of them. The birds eat out of it too, so there's enough left for them which is nice but still. I blame myself for putting it near the house so the squirrels can easily get to it. Seriously though? Pretty nice! I like out it looks, I like how it puts together and cleaning it was super easy. No inconvenience. :DSo yeah, super sturdy because the squirrels will sit on it and eat and it hasn't fallen apart. I'm just thankful that they leave some for the birds once the clean the entire thing out. Apparently you can put hot pepper spices in with the bird food that will deter the squirrels but it won't bother the birds. I'm going to try that this next time I refill the feeder. Should work fine, but if it doesn't it it's okay. I kinda like the squirrels. :D ^^ XD

I like the look of the mason jar, but you can fill it to the brim with seed, attach the feed tray, turn it over and half the seed goes into the feeder openings leaving half a jar of seed. I have to fill this feeder every day. Also, the metal perch which surrounds the feeder openings fell off after a couple of days. There were no squirrels or undue pressure put on it, it simply fell off. The second feeder lasted three days before it fell apart. Only small birds and the occasional woodpecker are using it. It should not fall apart with so little use.

Was sick of plastic cheap bird feeders. This one was as described. Real glass, real metal. Easy to clean and wash. I don't think this bird feeder will wear out as fast as previous ones.

I love this bird feeder. It's good for the smaller birds to feed from. The chickadees, titmice, and finches feed from it. Even some bigger cardinals can access it with no problem. It's heavy and durable.

I love this bird feeder. It looks nice and it attracts a lot of birds. I am glad that I purchased it. It even fell from my second-story balcony and it was perfectly fine.

Beautiful and durable - these caught my attention because they’re plastic-free and not tacky like so many other bird feeders. My only complaint is that I have to refill them every day or two, but that’s arguably more to do with the greediness of the birds in my neighbourhood than anything 😉

and my in-laws love it too. An awesome good quality feeder and a real eye pleaser.

Agréablement surprise, achetée pour mettre dans ma volière pour mes colombes diamants, parfait, elles adorent, relativement simple à utiliser, le seul bémol serait l'attache qui n'est pas assez grande pour l'accrocher, il aurait fallu quelques centimètres de plus.

this is a quality feeder, the only draw back is you can't fillet right up , as soon as you turn it upside to screw on base it empties to the base and then looks 3/4 full... BUT its way easier to use than many cheaper bird feeders
