The Little Gardener (Teenie Greenies)

We were able to use this for a virtual parent gardening group for a Healthy Families program. The toddlers enjoyed the pictures under the flaps and we were able to easily translate the words into Spanish as well. The pictures are bright, friendly and adorable. We were able to address the basics of gardening while building their vocabulary skills.

This book is so cute! I got it as part of a gardening gift for my daughter and she adores the little flaps. It’s a good size to throw in my purse before we run errands - she can look at it anywhere. The illustrations are cute and it’s easy one word objects - perfect learning tool for my 2 year old

This is the cutest little hard book for children under the age of 3. Colorful and fun to point out all the neat things about being outdoors. I gave as a gift for a 1st birthday!

Love this book! As an avid gardener I always involve my toddler in our gardening. I'm thrilled to have a book about gardening for story time. I thought the inclusion of the need to remove slugs from the garden was accurate yet amusing. Being in a damp climate slugs are a total nightmare for gardeners here, they eat everything! If you can't handle dealing with the bugs you can't handle gardening. My child is already learning that in real life. For kids who don't have the opportunity to garden it's good for them to see it's not as simple as putting seeds in the ground, add water, and voila - food! Any other gardening book makes it seem too easy. This one is more realistic while keeping it very simple for a toddler to understand.

I like this book. For the price it is a bargain. The weight and quality are good for little hands. My great grandson and his father like to garden, so the content is perfect to expand his vocabulary. My only complaint is that some of the flaps open to the right, others open to the left, and still others open down or up. This could be confusing for a child who is the age and developmental level to need a board book.

I bought this for my niece who is showing a great interest in gardening. I also bought her a set of child gardening tools. She loves the book!

Cute book the rhymes and is colorful! Bought for nieces 1st bday. Her mom is a teacher and likes to garden flowers and veggies. 💚 Some people complained about the flaps being too thin but it’s not as flimpsy as I expected after reading that. It’s about the thick was of 2 pieces of cardstock. Does look cheap at all. Really cute book.

We have a huge veggie and flower garden and I bought this book because I thought my 2 yo would love it. And she does! We read it every night to the point that she has the book memorized. Great book with flaps that little kids love, simple rhymes, and cute illustrations!

This is such a cute little book. We bought it to introduce gardening as we are starting our vegetable garden. My 14 month old loves it.
