Best with different strings
I wasn’t expecting too much for the price. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on an instrument I wasn’t sure my son was going to have any interest in. And being that he’s left-handed it would be hard to pass it on to someone else. But for the price it is pretty decent. At first I was a little bit disappointed and thought it was really just a toy masquerading as a real guitar. It is not. If you try to tune it to standard E tuning with the strings it comes with you are going to be disappointed. They are going to be too loose and sound really low and dull and not stay in tune. I tried tightening them to tune them an octave higher and broke a string (luckily before I broke the guitar) however it does come with an extra set of strings so I replaced it, and instead tuned it to A tuning (which I believe is what is intended for this type of small guitar) and it sounded a lot better, it actually sounded pretty decent. But being that I bought it hoping he would be able to use it with the Yousician program we have on our computer, it would not work, Since your guitar has to be turned into standard E tuning. After doing a little bit of online research I decided to order some different strings for it that might allow me to get it to tune as a standard guitar better. I ordered a set of Guilele E tuning strings, a set of high tension strings and a set of extra hard tension strings. I started with the extra hard tension the D’arrio strings. After getting them strung and tuned it made a huge difference. The strings are tighter, but don’t seem too tight like I thought they might be, and sounds great, for what it is. Very happy with it now and haven’t tried either of the other two sets of strings I bought. The reason for the four star rating instead of five. Is the lack of any kind of manual with it, and having to spend almost as much as I did on the guitar on strings to try to figure it out on my own. I feel like it should have come with some strings that allow you to tune it to standard E tuning easier. Or at least a manual that tells you that it is intended to be tuned to A tuning. Most people who buy something in this category aren’t going to be professional musicians and aren’t going to have any idea what to do with it other than chunk it in the garbage can. But once it is properly tuned it isn’t too bad for the price.

narrow bridge (small string spacing) -> bad for adult players
An okay guitar for kids. Bad for any adults. 1) String spacing is small: The bridge is significantly narrower than a standard guitar (~1.5in instead of ~2.0in), so it is very easy to accidentally touching/muting other strings. This might just be typical thing for smaller guitar, for kid guitar. Maybe I shouldn't fault it too much. However, the point is it is totally not suited for any adult who doesn't have baby hands~ 2) The strings only has 2 kinds of thickness. This means some strings are too loose and others too tight. This just make the guitar sound bad. It also creates problems like loose string hitting things and make buzz sound. 3) The tuning still drifts a lot even after ~6 playing sessions. I don't know if this is normal.

Was a bit skeptical when I bought it, but it turned out to be abs perfect for my kid. Tune is good, size ideal, good value for money for beginners who want to introduce themselves to guitar. Well packed package. Just the nylon strings require tuning v frequently but I Guess that’s with nylon strings in general
