Great option for Nikon z6
I was surprised at how well this worked. Yep do not use the added cord for portrait photos or the button as I’m used to using the original button on the z6. For the cost and the extra battery life that this offers, well worth it.

Exactly what I was needing and expecting
Works great, I knew it wouldn't run the shutter on my z7ii without a cord but I was only wanting it for the extra battery capacity and increased grip size, does EXACTLY what I wanted

Useless now
Only worked a few times. Smelled like it was burning and batteries stopped working.

What a crappy customer service
UPDATE: 08-31-2017 It took a while to figure out what the problem was. The problem was with the 'Godox AD-S14 Extension Power Connect Cable for Godox Witstro AD180 AD360 Flash Speedlite '. It could not carry enough power to operate the speedlight. The short cable works fine. All of this I figured out for myself as the language barrier is just about insurmountable. If you do have an issue, you had better be ready for really POOR English language skills.P.S. Battery needs to be 10,000mAh - 4500 just doesn't cut it. I have an assistant that can change batteries for me, but if I had to stop every 50 to 100 pics I would not use it.After receiving the equipment, everything worked as advertised. I have used the flash unit for 1,121 flashes and not a problem. The Godox 4500mAh PB960 Flash Power Battery Pack has been idle for 3 weeks and when I turn it on the Statis1/Statis2 starts blinking immediately.Obviously, the flash doesn't work along with over $800.00 worth of Godox equipment.I am a wedding professional photographer and need to have this problem resolved ASAP, but I am unable to contact anyone at Godox. What a crappy customer service.

Cheap junk
Ive had luck with other off brand grips but no so much with this. Build quality seems fine at first but the only way to get the shutter button to work is with a short cable that attaches the grip to the camera. The cable is on the left side of the camera and broke after putting the camera down on its left side. During the course of shooting a wedding, I usually go through two batteries. During yesterdays wedding I went through EIGHT batteries. Im guessing it was the grip that used all the power quickly as that was the only thing I changed in my camera setup. Plus, the shutter button is located in an odd position rather that where your finger naturally rests. I will be returning this today.

Battery pack only, no batteries
Has allowed me to photograph hours longer than before and easy to change out batteries. Does not come with additional batteries

Must have if you're just starting out
How did I shoot without this before??

Supports 3rd party batteries
The Z5 blocks usage of some 3rd party batteries, but they work fine inserted into this battery grip and mounted to the Z5.This grip also provides more hand space for pinky finger! I just wish the handgrip portion was a bit taller as it is a little cramped compared to my D750's with the OEM portrait grip attached. That said it mounts well and gives the Z5 a more solid control in the hand.I don't use the shutter button, so I can't comment on that. All in all I'm quite happy with this product.
