I was really looking forward to the MYTVONLINE feature to record and time shift live tv. Unfortunately I didn't have the patience to even try it out.I guess I've been spoiled through trying different devices the past through months. I began streaming March 2019 and gathered experience through trial and error. I own 2 Android streaming boxes I no longer use, 1 Roku stick, 1 Amazon Firestick, 2 Amazon 4K Firesticks (1 still in the original package) and 1 Nvidia Shield. I had to really talk myself into buying the Formuler Z8 because my 4K Firestick and Shield satisfy my streaming needs. It was the MYTVONLINE feature that made me make one more purchase.Setup was a breeze despite the tiny font that required me to sit inches from the tv screen to navigate/type. Once connected the problems occurred. My tv programs were stuttering. Like someone was repeatedly pressing pause on the remote. The enclosed guide didn't address this issue. Did a GOOGLE search and found the solution in a thread someone posted about buffering issues. Went to setting an adjusted the buffer to "10". Then I had to figure out how to save channels to favorites. Took me a while to discover it was the same way to save as on my other streaming devices but the remote controls buttons are finicky. Your have to press just right to get the desired result on everything you do.The device is loaded with features but there's little explanation in the guide concerning how to quickly access them. So many feature, in fact, that the remote has numerous buttons. No backlight on the remote, so unless you memorize button placement a lighted room is required to search for everything.Either video resolution is lacking, or I didn't take the time to research how to adjust the settings. Couldn't time shift because I couldn't figure out how to set the device to recognize my memory stick. All these things described are intuitive on the Shield and the Firestick.Unacceptable lag between channel changes. I experienced none of the instant channel changes demonstrated on the several YouTube videos I saw. Maybe my wifi was at fault...but the 4K Firestick addressed my wifi issuesEven with all that I was willing to give this device a chance. Fell asleep and woke up to a grey tv screen. My wifi was disconnected despite the network settings and my VPNSafetyDot informing me otherwise. This was the 3rd time my wifi disconnected...and the last draw for me. I'd only owned the Formuler Z8 for 8 hours but it was already apparent it required too much tinkering for me to get it to perform within the standards I was used to. Sad to say I'll be returning this device.

As an IPTV player, this definitely has the nicest interface i've personally seen. Its fast, works great, and you can add USB storage. I have no complaints about this device in terms of using it as an IPTV player box. The problem with this box is with the Android OS that is installed. Its an outdated version of Android which will give you problems if you want to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc in 4K. Most of the other apps you install are not optimized for android tv devices. I have a problem trying to use the remote that came with the device to click on some things within apps. Luckily mine came with a small qwerty keyboard to use.Overall I would say the device is a 3.5 or so but I rated it a 4/5 here. I'm using it for niche reasons. I also have a Nvidia Shield I use in my theater room, this device doesn't compare to the features of the Shield but I'm keeping it for the myTVonline2 app interface, its great.

I really enjoy this box. It is perfect for streaming. The native MyTVOnline 2 app is a game changer. I plan to add more to my house. I know a lot of people prefer the Shield, but if you’re not into gaming then this is the box for you. What makes it so great is the MyTvOnline 2 app and the remote. Gives you the closest experience to cable or satellite. You can put other apk’s on it. The WiFi works great with it. I would definitely recommend it.

Best box on the market, gigabit speeds capable, those reviews with low stars, people did not know what they were doing, have a poor provider or internet slower than a turtleControl is easy to learn and very intuitive, if you add a usb stick you can record and pause live video🤘🤘🤘🤘

Great out-of-box IPTV setup experience with good remote, good streaming, and recording.Main down side is that you can get a Nvidia android box for just a little more but that box's remote is not so great for IPTV and the off-the-shelf IPTC apps are so so. SO yes i want to pay a little extra but this box is Android 7 and unlikely to be upgraded for Android 8.

Does not function brand new out of the box. This is my second Formuler z8. The first worked without any issue. This one is frozen at the setup screen to select the language format and completely unusable. It also came with a keyboard and absolutely no instructions so it’s a useless brick. I will be returning this and ordering it elsewhere. This outfit is selling defective units.

Apparently this is not the right anycast product. It doesn't work like it should. I wouldnt recommend buying this.

I love this product. I installed Sportz TV package and it works like a charm! Will definitely purchase my 3rd here in the near future.
