This a nice product for pain relief. Here is a good recipe To treat sore, stiff muscles and joints, you can mix 2 drops of calamus essential oil with 2 drops of ginger and 2 drops of eucalyptus essential oils. Mix this blend further with 3ml of coconut oil and massage it gently onto the affected area

Calamus essential oil is very good aromatherapy, health and beauty procedure, but you need to use very carefully and fallow all instructions. Also this can be use for wax or soap making. Very nice woody smell, keeps for the while. Comes in the small bottle, the liquid is thick. Good oil

Natural sedative, relaxing
Due to the beta asarone content, the oil should not be used by anyone at home & I was advised to use in very small amounts in a diffuser only. DO NOT USE ON SKIN OR INTERNALLY. Upon research, it contains high levels of ketone, which is quite potent. Many people are saying to not use at home, & it's mainly used in perfumery thus I'm wondering why they're selling it? It is supposed to smell like cinnamon but it does not. It has a rather pungent scent which puts me off using it. This is not the fault of the seller however. I will NOT use it on my skin, nor do I recommend anyone does. I have put 2-3 drops in a diffuser BEFORE SLEEP & it made me very relaxed & helped me sleep! As it's supposed to be sedative & hallucinogenic. The health benefits of Calamus Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties as an anti-rheumatic, anti-spasmodic, antibiotic, cephalic, circulatory, memory boosting, nervine, stimulant, and tranquilizing.
