My television didn't have any available HDMI inputs, but I needed a way to connect my Apple TV. I picked up this adapter and it works flawlessly. Simply connect HDMI from it to the Apple TV, then use a Component cable to hook up the television. The resolution is fine and audio also works. Very easy to setup.

HDMI connections no longer worked on LG tv. This did the trick.

The HDMI port on my old TV is broken but the Component video input still functional. I bought this little device and hooked it up to my TV. It works great.

Item has a picture where it claims that it works with laptops via HDMI. This is FALSE. As it is only a pass-through, this converter doesn't have an EDID, which means your PC won't be able to detect it when you connect it via HDMI, which means IT DOESN'T WORK ON PC. It may work for other devices, but I wouldn't know because I purchased it to be used with a laptop, and it just flat out doesn't. If you're planning on purchasing a converter to send an image from your PC via HDMI to YPbPr, this item isn't the one to buy.
