This kit did what I needed it to do.
After damaging the high side conversion fitting from another kit, I went around looking for replacements and bought this Fourtry branded set along with a competing brand. The Fourtry kit's high side fitting is well made, contained a properly fitted gasket and worked perfectly in converting a very old R-12 system that had long been disused. My only complaint is that these fittings came packaged in a very tight plastic bag. I couldn't get the zipper seal on the bag to open, and finally just cut it off.

Works as stated
It sucks that I couldn't find parts like this locally. These days, self repair is not encouraged. Thank goodness for Amazon though. All 134a systems leak a bit every year. My freezer was 10 years old and not cooling as low as it should. After installing a bullet piercing valve to the service line of the compressor, found in my case by feeling each line as the compressor was running. Hot is high, cooler is low, and service line should be cooler as well. So after installing valve, I added the low side connector, went to AutoZone for a $10 bottle of basic 134a, self sealing not needed, and honestly not even sure it's good for the system, gave it a few squirts, about 2.5 ounces total, measured by weighing the can before use, and weighing while injecting, and boom. Back to 0°. My system uses 7oz, and there are more professional ways of adding Freon, by vacuuming, using a manifold, and putting back 7oz exactly, but why? My system was still under a vacuum, and still working, but low on 134a. By being careful and conservative in how much you add, you can recharge your system using this adapter very easily. All I probably need at this point to get the system down to -8 is one more quick 0.5 oz squirt.

This does not fit r12 systems.
I was installing the fittings onto my 86 Monte Carlo ss, high side threaded on fine. The low side is the wrong size completely. The fitting on the car is way smaller than the female side of the fitting for the low side. Don’t buy this
