I needed a charger where I can change multiple batteries at once. And so far this does the job nice charger.

Good Value, Compact but not an EXTRA fast charger
A compact four slot charger for 18v Makita batteries arrived quickly. Appears and function as described. It is quiet while charging. Charging multiple, up to four, batteries at the same time does not appear to slow the charging rate of any single battery compared to Mikita branded two bay charger shipped with one of my Makita tool kits. The integrated handle might be helpful if you intend to carry the charger daily to a jobsite. I mounted the charger in my garage workshop so the handle is of limited value to me. Fortunately is folds and is completely out of the way. I rated this charger four (4) and not five (5) starts because the product name includes '18v Rapid Charger'. The best i can test, this device charges at the same rate as the stock Makita charger.

Should have bought this years ago. Not a rapid charger, but it does charge all at the same time. Highly recommend.

Easy carry handle
Love the handle for easy carrying.

NO COOLING FAN
I realized there was no internal fan for the charger. Makita brand chargers use a fan to cool the batteries during charging. Ai says that inadequate cooling will likely damage the batteries. I've got $2k worth of batteries that could get destroyed by this charger. Not willing to risk it. The design however, is superior to Makita chargers for a few reasons. Mostly the metal wall mount bracket/ battery holder. But yeah... Other people reporting that 4 batteries won't charge at the same time. Ditto. The plastic slide action has too much friction. I silicon lubed the plastic and it didn't do much. Would love this charger IF IT HAD A COOLING FAN.

I've tried my 4 battery in my Makita charger and they all chaeged, this charger only charge 2 battery at the same time / J'ai brancher le 4 batterie dans mon chargeur Makita et elle fonctionne les 4, ce chargeur charge seulement 2 batterie en meme temps.
