Great for common constipation without using harsh laxatives. Has no taste at all. Recommended to help with dieting if taken with a full glass of water prior to meal. It makes you feel fuller so you won't eat as much.This product is not like Metamucil or other fiber products that dissolve in liquid. It is pure fiber and is fibrous when mixed with liquid. I add it to 8 oz of oj every morning and chug it down quick. If you let it sit for any time, it will thicken like jello and have to be eaten. Some people might not like dealing with the texture and it's not recommended for people with high risk of choking.
