Yost Vises UP360 Universal 6 Inch Prism Style Jaw Cover

I do a lot of work with my big vice on items that I do not wish to be scarred-up by the jaws. These inserts allow me to grab those items, hold them pretty secure, and also work on them. The magnets hold them on the vice while I insert the work. They are pretty short (not going to the bottom of the jaw plates) and so have a slight tendency to "ride up" just a bit if you are tightening something horizontally in the jaws and wish to use a lot of holding force. But they are great at holding - and not marring - the items I am working on.

I have found these to work well with round material like dowels and pipe. However, the material is very smooth plastic, with no grip or pattern at all, which means some materials can slip. My preference would be for these to be patterned with the same pattern used in the MU-360 jaw covers, which I also like. The garish color makes them easy to locate. The magnets hold well.

These Vice covers work quite well I would say that they probably need a little bit bigger neodymium magnet, but for the price it's definitely a great purchase and durability is quite well. 4.5 stars ...I had to remove a half of a point because the magnets are just a little bit too small.... but not much!

Really like these vice grips. Size is good, and there are multiple places to hold round materials in the vice. Good value, good quality.

These are very necessary to own if you’re a craftsman or a DIYer. They’re easy to use, seem to be built well, and have a lot of utility in their use. They’re versatile because they fit many different types of vices without needing any adjustment. The reason for the three star review is because they just don’t hold well at all. They slip a lot in use, and that makes using them a little frustrating at time.

I bought these specifically to clamp a rifle barrel in my old vise without damaging the finish. They worked great. When I think of all the times I have clamped something that needed padding...using pieces of rubber or towels....I should have bought these years ago. The jaws on my vice are four inches wide, but I see no reason to trim these. I just centered them. When the time comes I need to clamp something vertically, I'll just move the plastic over so the end I need to use is flush with the end of the vice. Very good product, extremely satisfied.

I bought these for my 6” Wilton vise to hold powder coated parts, they are a bit slick so its tough to get a SOLID bite on round / odd shape parts. That being said they have done a great job so far, they stay attached to the vise jaws very well! Magnets are super strong and stay put, the material has enough “give” to conform to odd shaped parts but still seems very durable.

Great vice jaw protectors. These arrived quickly at a competitive price. I have yet to out then through their paces but they seem to be well regarded from others here. Also the supplier/manufacturer seems to provide good product support and warranty. One thing I was wary of was one review I read that said the recipient had received two of the same side therefore making the protectors useless or nearly so. The slots in the protectors did not line up when used. Mine arrived as promised and look great. Time will tell. So far recommended.

So there was a review that said they don't line up... they do? They line up perfectly, you can use this to clamp multiple thicknesses of tubing it needed. It does not scratch pistol slides btw, not even Zamak airsoft slides. These are pretty nice buys, I wish they were a little cheaper but they are good enough to be worth the money.

Tiene diferentes patrones de muescas que ayudan a posicionar piezas en diferentes ángulos o inclinaciones. Los imanes que tienen para fijarse a las mordazas del tornillo de banco tienen suficiente potencia para mantenerse fijas al estar trabajando. Lo recomiendo sin duda alguna.
