Why did you pick this product vs others?: Worked exactly as expected. I used this adhesion promoter before painting the interior plastics of my car, and it made a big difference. I had never used one before, but after seeing it recommended on TikTok, I decided to try it. I applied two light coats about 5–10 minutes apart, then painted over it. The paint stuck incredibly well — way better than when I’ve painted plastics without using a promoter. It’s perfect for interior pieces that usually get nicked or scratched after painting. I’m not sure about the science behind it, but it definitely works. Highly recommend if you want your paint job to last.

Seems to work well. Don't rely on this stuff to clean a plastic surface; a brush/rag and any cleaner whatsoever will do that. Dawn, Greased Lightning, mineral spirits, TSP, whatever. This won't hide surface flaws either; that's a job for your topcoat and your mechanical surface prep. This is just a can of mixed solvents and a propellant. It softens/opens the surface a bit to help "paint" stick better. You want to wet the surface well and it won't telegraph its runs as it has NO buildup at all. Spray it on and lay on your topcoat as soon as all liquid actually disappears. This "liquid disappears" part is absolutely critical. EDIT: also seems to help under things like self-adhesive insulating foam.

This primer adheres well and is sandable. I use it before painting any metal now. Adds a little time and work, but the paint ends up sticking better and is much more smooth.

Very happy and pleased with this can of adhesion promoter. The price is incredible as adhesion promoter/primer can be extremely expensive. For what you are paying, this is a lot of product. Compared to 3M, this gets the job done just as well. There are some negative reviews about the product not working well. You MUST have a clean surface BEFORE you use adhesion promoter. This means using either surface prep or an isopropyl alcohol solution to ensure that the surface you are trying to adhere a product to your surface is clean and without contaminants. Contaminants will decrease adhesion, ALWAYS. TLDR: Clean your surfaces using surface prep spray or an isopropyl alcohol solution, and be sure your surfaces are dry before using adhesion promoter and applying the products to one another. It works great.
