I followed the instructions from another reviewer on jumping the red and yellow cables which seemed to fix the issue.The push-to-talk button seems to function but passes audio from a connector microphone to the radio sporadically.The clamp has two rubberised pads with serrations to grip onto whatever you attach it to - the adhesive on these pads is weak and the pads fall off leaving the unit dangling.Lesson learned: just buy a genuine unit rather than cheap out on this one. ### ⭐ Didn't work untill modified. *by T***E on 1 September 2023* Using this with a BeoFeng st88 PMR Radio and a Earmore m32.Firstly it's a SUPER tight fit. to the ppint where I have shaved a bit of the connection point off so that the fit is less hard.Secondly, the audio was so quiet I thought my headset was broken. Turns out the ppt is just super basic and super weak. I opened it up to check if it could be modded to fix it.Bridged the yellow and red connections and now the audio is actually loud and useful. See images for out the box soldering. ### ⭐⭐⭐ I modified. But probably works as intended. *by J***Y on 11 August 2024* I got this because I thought it was a mic but it is just a adapter essentially. My bad. So I took the thing apart took the end off as I'm having to use a motorola adapter to split feeds from it and then put in a mic to the ptt button. As that's all I needed turned it to 3.5mm as just a mic feed have an adapter for 2.5mm use.It's a bit big. Might go and get a dual channel one or make one.
