Great, at least for amateur self-grooming
The scissors are comfortable for my large hands, sharp, and effective. After letting my hair grow out for the first 10 months of the pandemic, I needed a trim. Badly. When unexpectedly successful at cutting my hair with a beard trimmer, I decided to cut my own hair going forward. I invested in a nice set of clippers and then scissors for some detail work.I bought a pair of the brand’s less expensive thinning shears first. Pleased with those, I bought the regular shears as well.I chose these by analogy to something more familiar to me, kitchen knives, where the nature of the metal drastically changes both use and maintenance. Although there are many dirt cheap scissors on Amazon, I assumed they, like a cheap kitchen knife, would mean increased maintenance and reduced durability. I searched for shears that actually disclosed the type of metal they used along with Rockwell hardness. This was a good price point for the materials. So far, they have not disappointed other than in two respects. The blades are sharp. They have maintained their edge, albeit with limited use compared to what they would see in a salon, and the case makes storage easier. At 6’ 5”, my hands are large. Things like this often feel tiny in my hands, like they were made for children. The shears are petite, but they still feel very comfortable in my hands.Gripe one: The plastic handle rings don’t fit the handle smoothly, leaving a bit of an edge; the plastic seems to be a bit on the cheap side as well. On the other hand, I bought these for the metal, not the plastic bits, and the movement of hair cutting shears, versus a pair of office scissors, distributes pressure across more fingers. For my purposes, trimming up my hair and beard after giving myself a clipper cut, even the seemingly cheap plastic is likely to be durable.Gripe two: The case is not as protective as one might assume. I bought a case for my clippers, which has a zippered compartment in the top. A layer of foam separates the clippers from the upper compartment. When I zipped the case closed, there was slight pressure on part of the shears case, which I had placed in the zippered case top. Although the pressure seemed to be slight, it was enough to deform the pair of thinning shears just enough that its teeth caught against the opposing blade, preventing use. I was able to repair the teeth, and the thinning shears work well enough again, but the case that comes with these shears is clearly insufficient to protect more delicate shears from damage. I would recommend avoiding dropping these into any that has other kit loose as the case may not be rigid or padded enough to protect your shears.I don’t have the knowledge, training or experience of a stylist, but I was able to do everything that I needed to polish up a self-inflicted clipper cut with these shears. The metal seems to be good quality. I cannot say if a professional would be happy with these over the long run, particularly with the chintzy plastic comfort rings, but they’re magnificent for at least the limited use that they will see with self grooming.

Not as represented.
Did a search in Amazon Prime for Swedish made scissor, up came another Fagacil scissor for $199.00.Then in the "recomended for you " this pair came up for $ 149.00. Could not find any discription as to where it was made, and the literature referenced "Japanese Steel" . As the search was for Swedish made, my assumption was Made in SwitzerlandWRONG, MADE IN CHINA.I make every attemt to purchase items not made in China!Probably will return.
