Sawstop works great.
Sawstop works great. Unfortunately I mised a pin nail in a piece of wood which is what caused the brake to trigger. Expensive mistake. I normally use a Garret metal detector wand on any wood I am cutting but didn't in this. Laziness costs. Sigh.

Could not be happier!
Perfect replacement for module that fired due to a wet spot in a workpiece. Shipping was prompt and item arrived in good condition. This is not a knock off, this is in fact an OEM part. Got our shop back up and running. Amazing how critical a saw is! You don't realize it until it's missing.

Cheaper than a hospital visit to sew back fingers
Saved many a finger. Cheaper than a hospital visit. This saw that the cartridge is going has done a lot of woodwork.

Maintain your ability to type a review
If you own a Saw Stop Table Saw, you have made a great choice. I was cutting a board on my table saw and I felt the tip of my finger barely touch the moving blade. It didn't even break the skin and in a micro second, the break had deployed. I bought this to replace the now spent break. I actually bought 2 just in case I screw up again. Well worth the replacement cost as opposed to a visit to the hospital.

Brake Cartridge but came later than I'd have liked
An OEM product that is never discounted. Necessary for SawStop saws. Correct product sent. Took a bit too long to get here. If I'd needed it sooner than I did I'd have had to go buy from another source some drive away. SawStop could improve it's shipping on such a basic item.

nails or screws hidden in your wood will fire the brake mechanism! Get a metal detector.
It's expensive, but it works. I got to see it in action at home, thankfully not because of a near injury but because my saw blade struck a hidden nail that was inside a recovered piece of wood. I had a backup which is now installed and tested, but needed another backup so one has been ordered, along with a Zircon metal detector which costs less than half the price of the new cartidge. See where I'm going? Get yourself a metal detactor and USE it for recovered wood to check for nails and screws. It will pay for itself!
