My 3 & 5 year old LOVE this game. We play it several times a week. The cards are thick and good quality perfect for little hands that are still learning to be gentle. They've learned new animals and it's just the right amount of challenge for them! This is the first game they learned to play. Sometimes we sort out some of the animals if we want to play a quicker game. Definitely recommend!

This game is excellent quality and beautiful. The illustrations are very well printed: very bright colors and crisp images. The cards are a very stiff cardboard, like the original Memory game. You have to punch them out, but it is extremely easy to do. And BONUS, the grids leftover after punching the cards out is really cute! I'm going to use them as photo mats for little photo grids. I saw several reviews complaining that the illustrations are too "busy." I have to assume that these reviewers aren't familiar with Eric Carle's work. They look EXACTLY like the illustrations in his books. They are not simple clip-art line drawings. They are actually ART. If you are a fan of his style, you will love these cards. I personally don't think they are too busy for my toddlers (2yrs & 3yrs), and they don't have any trouble distinguishing between the different animals and bugs. 72 cards is a lot for my little ones, so I had them pick out a few of their favorite pairs so we could work on learning the memory game. We just started, but they like the game so far! I uploaded pics so you can see the cards. Beautiful!

My boy just turned 3 but he was mastering this game at age 2.5. For littles I recommend starting with small amounts of matches. Using all the cards is more ideal for and older and more patient child lol. Also love that the cards are thick cardboard so they are hard to destroy. However the box it comes in is not as sturdy. I had to tape up the box the first week of owning.

My preschoolers love Eric Carle so much, my classroom has an Eric Carle theme to it. That’s why when I saw this game, I knew they would love it, and I was right! This is a super fun twist on the typical memory game, because my little ones can find their favorite book characters from different Eric Carle books as they turn over the matches. They were excited to turn over each one, and were even trying to peek underneath other cards to find The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Grouchy Ladybug hidden under the cards. We have been playing this for the last few weeks, and they still find it fun to play, not to mention they are learning memorization skills and learning about using positional words as they describe where the cards are that they found, (next to, below, above, etc.) Great game for preschoolers/home schoolers!

I wanted her a matching game for my two year old granddaughter in England. This fit the bill perfectly. Mom sent a video with enjoying the game as she initially opened it. Perfect for her age.

This game is wonderful. I purchased this for my daycare and the children love it. It has a ton of pieces so we can either play it as it was meant to be played(memory)or they also like to just lay them out and make pairs while they’re visible. We also like to find the animals we see while reading Eric Carle books. The cardboard and colour quality is high. They can easily be transported in a baggie or smaller box once they have been separated. The price is great. Highly recommend this.

It's perfect, love the drawings, thd cards a solid enough to resist my 3yo, and I can see us gettomg lots of play time out of it. We are currently playing matching the cards all face up as an introduction, bit we will be moving to face down soon enough, I'm planning on offering this game to our other 3yo friends for their upcoming birthdays

This one is awesome for the game. material is long-lasting paper and drawings are really friendly (especially if you know some picture books) and easy to memorize. Really fun playing this one with my kids (3 and 4yr old)
