It’s a good sharpening stone for its quality/price.
It’s a good sharpening stone. I use it to sharpen pocket knives, EDC knives, wood carving knives, and outdoor knives. For its price, you can expect guaranteed quality. Its price ranges from $12 to $15. You might think it’s small—because it is—but it’s a sharpening stone designed to be carried with you at any time of the day. Compared to larger stones that measure 8-9 inches x 2-3 inches x 0.5 inches with the same 1000-grit range, which cost $40-$100, this one is much more portable. And of course, you can’t easily carry those large stones unless you have a big backpack. I simply use the sides of the stone to sharpen my knives, as well as small chisels and gouges. Buy it—you won’t regret it!

I like them
These work. Smooth consistency, wears about right, could be a little firmer. I like them.

Kind of soft
I use this stone for those knives with the annoying concave edges, the curved shape performs well for this task, however the stone is rather soft so it ends up gouged out after every use. It easily is brought back by a quick diamond plate pass. This is a soaking stone so expect some waiting before sharpening and some more waiting after you are done for it to dry. Theres not many options for the concave edge category of knives. Stone cuts ok, about at the 1000 grit that it is listed as, about as fast as a king deluxe 1000 whetstone but smaller and more awkward. And it just gouges a lot so every session shows considerable wear and thats using it without going crazy in the force department and with a proper soak. Does the job though.

Excellent sharpening stone!
Soak in w as term first. Cuts fast and fine. Pair with the Felco diamond sharpener and you've got a great sharpening kit for shears, pruners and scissors.

I purchased both this one and the 220. I’ll probably end up purchasing the 3000 too. These are fantastic quality stones and absolutely perfect for secateur sharpening. I’m so happy I found these and able to get them at such a reasonable cost! I’ve also since used them for honing other items and found them extremely effective!
