Worth it for the ADJUSTABLE NECK alone!
Arrived on time and as described. (just wished it was overnight -pre order so you have it when you need it) I purchased the dark blue cotton poly blend, not the knit, so this particular recovery suit body did not stretch. The neck is a ribbed soft stretch knit casing with a soft but strong adjustable cording that locks with a small plastic toggle. We have a rescue feral kitten who needed to be spayed! Although she is adapting well to people life in a house, she still has some PTSD if you will, from her beginnings in the wild. She is very loving and cuddly, and clingy, rarely meows, and was just sweet. ...until she had her surgery. Not unlike David Banner, during her (spay) surgery there was some unknown factor that occurred and transformed her into a SuperKitty! who now had the ability to release herself from all forms of restraint! Although she was still woozy from the anesthesia, she wasn't feelin' like the Pixar Lamp and got rid of the Cone of Shame before we left the parking lot. When I got home I put it back on and again it came right off. We played out this costume change for 24 hours. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't make that cone stay on! She wasn't having it! I DIYd a covering from a small tee shirt, (Thank You EPBOT dot com!) that saved her, but her little size made the ties inconvenient. So I got her a SUPERSUIT! (Enid would be proud. "NO CAPES!") I was glad the shipping was fast, I just wish it was overnight I wish more that I knew these things were things and I had ORDERed IT AHEAD OF NEED. That said this is where *this particular* suit bests the rest: THE LITTLE COLLAR NECK ADJUSTMENT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE FOR MY SUPERKITTY! Without that all she needed was an extra Planck Length, and she was one free SuperKitty! If you have a SUPERKITTY! like we do, they will be amazingly flexible and with just a few seconds alone they will wriggle and squirm until they get a little front leg through the neck hole of any other "supersuit". YOU NEED THE ADJUSTABLE NECK to ensure they can't fit a foot through the neck opening. Make sure you leave enough room for them to feel comfortable -just not enough to wrangle the front paw through very far! It may be easiest to have a partner in crime as you secure your SUPERKITTY! but if you are alone, it can still be done with some quick maneuvering and a few good tries. Go ahead and get their little head in the neck hole, tighten the adjustable strap, *then* get their paws in place and velcro the back closed. Our SUPERKITTY! was still quite little and thin when she had her surgery, so her supersuit was a bit baggy. With the neck secured and the velcro closed, she was till able to stay in her supersuit without any problems. She was able to use her litter-box without any restrictions and seemed to get comfortable within a matter of minutes. Bottom Line: ORDER AHEAD OF SURGERY DATE TO ALLOW FOR DELIVERY. Also, may I suggest ordering 2 so that you can launder one while she wears the other. No one, not even a kitten, wants to wear the same outfit every day -especially after surgery! (fur, stitches, blood, funk) We were lucky to have the DIY tee shirt suit *and* this suit. (Again, thanks EPBOT dot com) Completely WORTH THE MONEY in my book FOR THE ADJUSTABLE NECK ALONE.

Great alternative to the cone
We just bought these for our six month old kittens who were just spayed. They came home from the vet with the Elizabethan collars, and they were miserable in them. They threw themselves around trying to get out of them and we were concerned about them opening their incisions. These little suits are well designed and fairly easy to put on. We bought the medium size and they fit our 6 pound cats perfectly. The material is soft and stretchy (especially after a wash). The cats can use the litter box with the suits on, but one of mine just walked in circles around the box until I took it off. Not a big deal. My only criticism is that the Velcro on the back is wide and very stiff. I cannot imagine itโs very comfortable for the cats, and it can stick to the material of the suit when you are putting it on, but otherwise these suits are a good alternative to the cone of shame.

Very Soft, Durable, and Better Than a Cone
We had two of our cats spayed last month this cat pictured was slightly larger than our other one as she is six months older. We had tried using the cones from the vet but these two are acrobats and they got the cones off regardless of what we did. This is why we bought recovery suits. We purchased two different suits for the cats as they had different sizing guides and we werenโt sure what would fit. While the other brand was slightly off in terms of size, this one was perfect. We ordered a medium (if it helps she was a year old and roughly 6-7lbs when she wore the vest). The suit fit her perfectly and while she hated it at first, she quickly got used to it and started walking around. I will say she was a bit lazy in the suit, she did not like moving around with it, probably because cats donโt like clothes in general, but the suit was very soft and did not cause her pain. Based on the fit and the fact that it wasnโt too snug or too loose, the suit looked and felt as though it would be comfortable, but be aware, cats donโt like clothes of any kind and they might be lazy and not move much while the suit is on. The suit held up very well, was still in perfect condition at the end of two weeks and was very sturdy. The velcro is incredibly strong, your cat will not be able to get it off no matter how hard they try and it covers the entire incision area. I will say that the suit, and your cat, might be a bit stinky after the two weeks. Both of our cats unfortunately smelled very bad, like poo, at the end of the two weeks due to wearing the suit for two weeks straight. I would have washed the suit half way through but they immediately started trying to chew on their incisions when we removed the suits and we didnโt have extras. I would suggest getting two for each cat so you can wash them otherwise youโll need to bathe or wipe your cat down after it is removed due to the stench. Overall I had no issues with the suit itself, it is strong, soft, comfortable, a perfect fit, and a great alternative to a cone. The stench will happen with any recovery suit and it is not because of the suit itself, it traps smells and bacteria the same as any clothing does. I would absolutely buy this again.

Worked well for recovery
This worked well for my cat during recovery. I didnโt have to use it for very long, but it did what it was supposed to do and stayed on without slipping off. My cats definitely didnโt love wearing it at first, but they eventually got used to it. It was a good alternative to a cone and allowed them to move around more comfortably. Overall it did its job and helped get through the recovery period.

They are quite nice and are a great idea as they are much more comfortable than a cone. But if your cat is a fighter, it will work day and night to shred it. We had to order 2 over the 6 week recovery period because our 5-pound tigress hated it :-)

My 4 month old kitten needed some major surgery that would leave a Plastic brace with sutures on the outside of his body. He will have this for 4 weeks. He was given a soft cone from the vet. Within hours of getting home the cone had him screaming. He hated it and was moving in ways that could injure him. I put a baby onsie on him and immediately looked for something just like this. As you can imagine a 4 month kitten who isn't allowed to climb, jump and play was even restricted walking because of the stupid cone. The moment I put this on him he immediately perked up. I felt comfortable to have him walk around on his own terms with little worry he would hurt himself. He can use the litterbox with no issues and he sleeps very comfortably. I bought the small because he's 4 months forgetting the detail that he is a maine coon and this won't last too long on him so I have already purchased a medium. I cannot praise enough how much better this has made me feel about his recovery for a long period of time. I recommend this to anyone who has a cat with a tummy wound or even a back wound.

The tissus was nice, but the size was too small, so I returned it.

Unfortunately this product doesnโt work with long skinny cats as a recovery lick prevention. Would be fine on average body size and shape, but not thin kitties. Unfortunate! It seems to be made well amd everything though!

Hasn't had the surgery yet but our overly opinionated maine coon loves it! Must be comfy!!
