Jiaogulan is a tea used more for health than the typical American palates. That said, it doesn't bother me at of. I think it tastes pretty good. It reminds me of green tea that is slightly more bitter, but the slight sweetness balances the bitterness quite nicely. There's a flavor that reminds me faintly of milk that I find pleasant. The bag says you can reuse the leaves a few times, so I did. I used 190 degrees Fahrenheit to start, but after that I just let the Jiagulan infuse in the water throughout the day and it works nicely. It is actually quite pleasant as a cool tea, or a hot tea. I actually like the smell. It is earthy, but it really is like green tea and maybe a little like lawn grass. It has a lovely green tea color as well. I am new to the tea but I have high hopes for the product helping with health. It supposedly helps with muscles. Brain, weight loss, cholesterol, sugar and more. This is so far the best value I have find for this tea. I purchased the 1 pound bag. That should last a long time.

This is the best deal I've found online for this classic Chinese medicinal herb known as the "immortality herb". It's approx effects are readily absorbed in teas. Among the benefits are lowered blood pressure, increased energy, lowered cholesterol, stress management. It has long been linked to long, good health. It is a delicious addition to my daily tea blends, naturally sweet with a mild cinnamon like spice character. Right now, it seems to be the best deal for the money, high quality herb

Researched the tea. It is good for your body. But you need to mix with something like cinnamon. Honey etc to make it palatable.

I cannot explain how much more mentally sharp I have been since drinking this every day. I love it- I hope you never stop selling this!

I've read the reviews on this one and most of the negative reviews I attribute to simple ignorance about the different types/growing regions of Jiogulan. The Thai plantation farmed Jiaogulan that most Amazon customers are familiar with from the "big names" in Jiaogulan is much milder than the Chinese Jiaogulan-the leaves are bigger as well. Thai Jiaogulan is very mild and pretty tasty, with a lower concentration of saponins. All the reviews that comment on the taste, are referring to the potent concentration of saponins in this product-that's what makes these leaves foam up like crazy dishsoap, and it's what you want to see in Jiaogulan you are buying for health purposes and not for flavor. This is high quality, potent, medicinal Jiaogulan, and I will continue buying it.

Great quality and color and it's a good price

I purchased this tea on a recommendation from another reviewer to help me sleep. I have not noticed any improvement of my sleeping habits. I will continue to use the tea until it is gone as I feel like it was on the pricey side. The tea bags have many small holes in them and the leaves come out of the bags into your tea, of which I find very unpleasant.

Really enjoying this brand of jiaogulan. It gives me such an energy boost that I wondered if it has any caffeine. Has a nice slightly tannic finish that I enjoy, and for some reason my body craves this tea. Better flavor and more potent than brand I used to buy.
