Seriously intense reactions with this one. Thankyou Mr Ramsay.
I'm pretty new to magic (only about 4 or 5 months in) and obviously have a long way to go, but this has some got some pretty amazing reactions. It's one of those truly impossible effects and it does genuinely happen in 'their' hands. You get two effects/methods on the dvd, I've only performed the first effect (Secret) 3 times (more on why later) - the first time a girl cried, the second time a dude threw the deck of cards across the room in shock and the third time I had to really try and convince the guy it was just a trick because he was going home to practice moving things with his mind. The second effect (Red pill) is just as strong although less personal as it is really more suited to a group or couple than a one on one situation, so the reactions are less intense, but still spectacular. There is a 'risky move' involved (think DM) and you'll need a reasonable handle on angles and/or audience management.Chris Ramsay is an excellent teacher, moves are shown from various angles and there a couple of different handlings explained.I don't have any negatives as such but a couple of things could be improved:The gimmick is out of date, but Chris takes you through making one and it will only take about 2mins to build one that can suit any deck style going. There are no live performances given. That is, the performance shown is Chris on his own talking through his performace to you, his audience. It would have been nice to see it out in the real world with some of the nuances that crop up naturally in such situations. As I said, not really negatives, just improvements. Finally, you're going to be giving a deck away or at least opening a brand new deck with each performance. So you're probably not going to be performing it 10 times a day to everyone you meet, it is a closer effect I think and if like me you're not getting paid to burn through decks at a significant rate you're going to want to practice it live a few times and then keep it for special occasions. But...it will be special when you do. Thankyou very much Mr Ramsay.
