Fun toy
Even grown-up people can have fun playing with this well built toy set. However, for its price I would expect to have maybe 20 more magnetic sticks in the package.

Great educational toy well hidden in a fun way.
First impressions where the box was rather larger than required, the world of reducing wastage this could be reviewed, maybe this is more to look like you are getting more than you are for your money. I also got the impression that all of the items fitted into the two storage boxes, however only the rods and balls go into the storage boxes. The shapes fit into a press lock bag.The metal balls are not magnetic (20 in total) the magnetics are built into the rods, which makes putting them away rather interesting and frustrating. The shapes fit between the rods but don’t clip in, they kept falling out and just to build a simple square it was very fiddly for me as an adult so can see children struggling and maybe losing interest very quickly.Overall build quality is very high (other than the box that ripped straight away and fell apart making storage impossible). Construction is a bit fiddly but still a lot of fun, I can see a 5 year plus having fun with this set but will quickly want a larger explanation to set to explore further designs. As even with 78 pieces this set will quickly be used up.Price is rather on the expensive side, however its build within the EU, made by recycled plastic so sometimes you need to pay to save the planet.

Perfect for a Single Player, BUT:
The kids have always loved Geomags. The magnets are nice and string, but not so strong that the kids find it difficult to pull apart. The pieces are all of great quality plastic, the ball bearings are of course steel and not flimsy in the least. The set comes with solid 2D colourful shapes, such as Pentagon's, squares, triangles of varying sizes which give plenty of structure and holds the 3D shape together far better than if you have a set without these supports.• The problem comes with the magnetic rods:Even thogh this is a a fairly decent sized set. But the 28 rods that come with it is not enough for two children, such as siblings to play together. Very quickly squabbles break out; the supplied instructions require a good portion of rods to construct the 3D structures and there simply isn't enough for one child to make a structure from the manual, and the other to make one free-play.They get used very quickly and not going very far.Geomag have come up with a solution for the shortage of rods and allow consumers to purchase a set containing just rods and spheres, but this isn't cheap.Fortunately, there are a few other brands that sell the same at the fraction of the price here on Amazon, but these can come in a variety of sizes.Apart from the shortage of rods - which can be remedied, this is a very good colourful set, clearly designed to draw a younger crowd than some of their more monotonous coloured sets. There's plenty of variation in play and a wide range of creative talent to be expressed. For a single player. Our kids can sit for hours setting themeselves challenges to construct structures using a (strictly) set number of rods, for that, it is good but somewhat limiting. Luckily, we have another older Geomag set that we were able to use more rods from.5 stars nonetheless, as is a very therapeutic and engaging activity, aside from the occasional squabbles. have come up with a solution for the shortage of rods and allow consumers to purchase a set containing just rods and spheres,
