what is the diameter of the straw?

I do not have a micrometer so I had to try to measure with a little 6 inch ruler, so these measurements are not precise but I believe they're pretty close: Inside diameter: 7/32 inch or 6 mm Outside diameter: 11/32 inch or 9 mm

How long are these straws?

The straws are 9 3/4 inches long. So far, we are happy with these replacement straws.

does this work on a 40oz hydroflask?

Yes, they worked fine for my mother

Will they fit my 32oz, 18/8 stainless hydro flask bottle?

I don’t see why not, you’ll just have to cut it to fit the depth of the bottle. That is true for any Hydro Flask brand straw as well.
