Smash Up is back with even more wild factions in the mix! Science Fiction Double Feature brings four new groups to the base-smashing business, with abilities unlike those seen before! Time Travelers The time stream has been compromised. Robots from the future mingle with pirates, extinct dinosaurs move with magical wizards everything is all smashed up! Thats where the Time Patrol steps in. Organized in 1976 and led by the enigmatic Doctor When, the Time Patrol works to keep time flowing in the manner they deem best. Cyborg Apes In a daring raid on a top secret research facility, apes stole the latest in cybernetic enhancements, and are now enacting their centuries old plan to take over the world! Combining their natural athleticism and powerful strength with high-tech augmentations, these apes will go bananas all of your opponents! Super Spies The shadow war between International Secret Intelligence and the evil HAVOC (Henchman and Villains of Chaos) continues. HAVOCs schemes threaten the world, from weather changing satellites to lasers mounted on secret moon-bases, they can only be opposed by the daring agents of the ISI. Using the latest in espionage technology, the ISI will be able to foil your opponents plans before they even come to fruition. Shapeshifters Far below the surface of the earth, strange amorphous creatures have developed a thriving world, based on the manipulation of their own genetics. Now they plan to apply that knowledge to conquer our world above. Taking samples of the most powerful creatures and warriors they can find, these shapeshifters can use the best of whoever they copy. Combine these groups into teams of two for various effects! Smash Up: Science Fiction Double Feature also contains 8 new Base cards to compete over. Review: Blends into original game flawlessly and gracefully. - This expansion pairs with the original game better than all others in my opinion. It add enough variation to be unique without being confusing. These blend in so well with the original game I often forget they didnt come with the original game. Shapeshifters- one of the most unique factions. Has a little bit of everything. Using strategy with them works great, but it also works for new players. Time travelers- very useful companion to any other deck. They have abilities that are pretty similar to what zombies can do, so it may be wise not to pair the two together unless you know what you're doing. Spies- the most strategic of the expansion. Get used to what they can do and they will be a great deck to use. Apes- strong minions which can be helpful in many situations Overall, go ahead and pick this expansion up if you are looking for a new way to play the game we all love so much. Review: The Technical Expansion - I saved this review for last with this expansion I built one of my first decks I won a SmashUp tournament with I got paid. This deck is good with all expansion. A good choice to buy with Awesome Level 9000. If you can only buy this deck or Awesome Level 9000 I would go with Awesome Level 9000. However this expansion has a more technical play style than the other expansion in what you can do. However a few play through's and you should be fine. You have to really read the cards because often you can do multiple things a turn that you not fully realize until you gain more experience playing. Its a very good set. All of the expansions play similar to the base set with the exception of the Cthulu ## Features - Out-of-This-World Lineup: Cyborg Apes, Shapeshifters, Super Spies, and Time Travelers bring an eclectic mix of science fiction to the Smash Up battlefield, each with its own unique abilities and approach to the game. - Mess With the Rules of Reality: Copy powerful abilities with Shapeshifters, disrupt your opponents' plans with Super Spies, manipulate card timing with Time Travelers, and power up your forces with Cyborg Apes. Each faction approaches the battle in a completely different way. - A Universe of Sci-Fi Themes: Travel through time, uncover secret schemes, transform into something unexpected, and unleash cybernetic power. Science Fiction Double Feature brings time travelers, shapeshifters, super spies, and cyborg apes together for one wildly unpredictable battle. - Easy to Pick Up and Play: Designed for 2–4 players ages 12 and up, each game takes about 45 minutes. Straightforward card play makes it easy to learn, while the unique abilities of each faction give players plenty of strategic choices. - A Gift for Sci-Fi Fans: A great gift for fans of science fiction, space adventures, time travel, secret agents, and futuristic technology. Science Fiction Double Feature brings four wildly different sci-fi themes together in one strategic card game. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00HVFBT1G | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #353,255 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #5,193 in Dedicated Deck Card Games | | Brand Name | AEG | | CPSIA Cautionary Statement | Choking Hazard - Small Parts | | Color | Blue, Yellow, and Red | | Customer Package Type | Standard Packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 531 Reviews | | Edition | Standard Edition | | Educational Objective | Develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills | | Estimated Playing Time | 60 minutes | | Expansion For | Smash Up | | Genre | Science Fiction | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00729220055040 | | Included Components | 80 Minion & Action Cards, 8 Base cards, 1 VP Token Sheet, 12-page Rulebook, and 4 Decks | | Item Dimensions | 5.58 x 1.89 x 7.82 inches | | Item Highlight | 2-4 Players, Ages 12+, 45 Mins, Gift for Sci-Fi Fans, Adds Cyborg Apes, Shapeshifters, Super Spies and Time Travelers | | Item Part Number | AEG5504 | | Item Weight | 8 ounces | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | AEG | | Manufacturer Part Number | ALD05504 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Manufacturer recommended age | 14 years and up | | Material Type | Cardstock, Plastic | | Model Number | AEG 5504 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Players | 4 | | Operation Mode | manual | | Set Name | Science Fiction Double Feature | | Size | Compact | | Subject Character | Cyborg | | Supported Battery Types | No batteries required | | Theme | Game | | UPC | 787799322888 729220055040 885890277783 885494448176 885501477311 885316947238 885886526901 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![Smash Up: Science Fiction Double Feature Card Game Standalone Expansion - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61agav2kNoL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blends into original game flawlessly and gracefully. *by C***. on December 9, 2016* This expansion pairs with the original game better than all others in my opinion. Monkeys? With the high quality I am (we) are accustomed for we anxiously waited till this box to get in the mail. As usual we are extremely satisfied with the strong beautiful box, that it now brings VP tokens, a separate rule book to smile while reading one of the easiest rule books I have ever read as of yet and then comes the cards. Each faction comes in shrink wrap tightly sealed for their protection. The art is as usual, great (some more than others). Some factions are better than other, but it all depends with who you pair it with, so it all comes to how you like to play the game. Lets not forget that it also brings some new bases (forgot how many) so that you and some fellow world mongers can go back in time, re-animate corpses, upgrade dinosaurs, sail away with pirates, poison a Cthulhu cultist or throw monkey feces at each other. Smash Up have my money for as long as they want it.! ## Frequently Bought Together - AEG Smash Up: Science Fiction Double Feature Expansion, Board Game, Card Game, Time Travelers, Shapeshifters, Spies, Cyborg Apes, 2 to 4 Players, 30 to 45 Minute Play Time, for Ages 10 and Up - AEG Smash Up: Cease & Desist Card Game Expansion | Astroknights, Changerbots, Ignobles, Star Roamers | 2-4 Players | Ages 14+ | 30-45 Minute Playtime - AEG Smash Up Base Game | Shufflebuilding Card Game | Aliens, Dinosaurs, Ninjas, Pirates, Robots, Tricksters, Wizards, Zombies | 2-4 Players | Ages 10+ --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.vn/products/3608085-smash-up-science-fiction-double-feature-card-game-standalone-expansion](https://www.desertcart.vn/products/3608085-smash-up-science-fiction-double-feature-card-game-standalone-expansion) --- *Product available on Desertcart Vietnam* *Store origin: VN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
