Review: Cool bulbs, great features, could have a higher lumen count - I installed this two pack of bulbs in my office where I've been working at home for the past six months or so. Installation was as easy as screwing in a light bulb ( I sense a how many people does it take to change a light bulb joke here...moving on). Setup was a breeze as well, just open up the Meross app, click the + sign at the top, select smart bulb and then follow the prompts through setup. I experienced zero issues setting up the bulb, which is something I cannot say for some other Mercury brand smart bulbs I own that can be a pain in the butt. These smart bulbs give you the ability to easily control not only the color of the bulb, but also the temperature (2700K to 6500K) of the bulb. There is a spinner will that gives you preset temperatures. This is important when I work in the office as I don't like the bright white / soft blue temperature (6500k) and prefer the warmer 2700K. I put the old bulb back in the other socket and then adjusted one of the smart bulbs to 2700K and I can not tell a difference between the warmth of the old bulb next to the Meross smart bulb set to 2700k. Needless to say, I really like this feature. Adjusting the colors of the bulbs are just as easy. There is a spinner wheel of colors to choose from. The colors change quickly; however they could be brighter. The one thing Meross needs to add is a way to match colors on multiple bulbs. Right now I set a shade of blue for bulb 1 and then have to get a close as possible on bulb 2 to get them to match. A way to pair the bulbs with the same color would be helpful. I really only have two minor cons. The first is that there is no preset scenes in the app that works with the color mode. Some other bulbs I have used give you the option to set scenes like a rave or Christmas or disco. Its not necessary, but I personally think it would be a cool feature to add. The second con really applies to every smart bulb that I have bought over the years, is that the lumens need to be higher. A higher lumen count would make the bulb brighter and it would really help when you use the bulb with a set color. Overall, I'm very happy with the bulbs and at this price for a two pack, its hard to beat.

So good quality, and they get the job done. cons: - Some of the colors are off with respect to what google home shows, so you need to figure that out. But a lot are correct and the wrong ones just take a minute to figure it out. - sometimes anxious friends will cycle power on/off 3 times and reset the bulb, which is annoying since i have to re-teach it wifi etc. would be nice to make that more robust. or an alternative would be to go with the meross smart switch which gives you smart lights but allows "non smart" humans to just use the switch. that does require extra effort to install which I don't want to deal with in the rental i'm at. pros: - they work great. - easy to install - not expensive compared to others. - very good quality, have lasted almost 3y and show no signs of planning to stop. - works great with google home, haven't tried others would definitely buy again.

**Q: Can't pair HomeKit?**
A: Not compatible with 5g wifi 1. Reboot your device to clear the Apple Home app’s cache. 2. Follow the user manual to reset and Power cycle the accessory. 3. Ensure that you have a dedicated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi until the setup is successful.

**Q: Why do the bulbs keep disconnecting?**
A: 1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is set to 2.4GHz, not 5GHz. Reset the bulbs and router if needed. 2. Temporarily change your Wi-Fi encryption to WPA2, do not use WPA3 only. 3. Create a new home in the Home app and use it to set up the accessory.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cool bulbs, great features, could have a higher lumen count

I installed this two pack of bulbs in my office where I've been working at home for the past six months or so. Installation was as easy as screwing in a light bulb ( I sense a how many people does it take to change a light bulb joke here...moving on). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very not bad for the price!

Needed to replace a flickering hue bulb and didn't feel like spending $45 for just one bulb at the moment, so starting looking at other options. Now that more brands are supporting HomeKit, I could actually choose between a few different types! Hue has always been my go-to because they were the only company integrated into the Apple ecosystem at first. They slowly improved their bulbs, but it's crazy how much I've spent over the years changing out every bulb in my home. That said, these Meross bulbs are definitely not as high quality of build, however, since I don't have any physical interaction with them after they're installed, and so as long as they last a good long while, I dont think that really matters. They are plenty bright, the colors are rich (and seem brighter than Nanoleaf Essentials), and they were very easy to add to HomeKit. The one issue I had was they were a bit finicky when programming scenes. I'd set one up, then one of the bulbs would turn on the wrong color. Had to redo the programming with another color I did not want, save the scene, then go back in and change to the color I do want. Seems to be working ok now. Will update if there are any issues in the near future, otherwise, easily recommended at 1/4 the price of hue.
