I found these by accident while looking for other things and I sure am glad I did. These are great pencils and very well made. I wish I had known about them a long time ago but now that I have them they will get used for many things.I like the idea of the sharpener and the extra leads that come with them too.Very nice product.

These pencils work very well, and they give a nice precise line. They are easy to use and hold a lot of lead for writing. I've used other mechanical carpenters pencils and these are the best that I have used.

Other than the clips being brittle, these are extremely handy for making marks when we are doing carpentry and electrical work. The leads are soft enough to mark on some of the soft or damp materials we have had to work with but not so soft that they break often. My only other complaint would be that these do not come with a cap-sleeve like a lot of the other brands do.

I purchased the OX pencil before these and I was let down big time. I love how the cap screws on/off on the hibooms. The OX cap fell off after a few weeks

I recently build a deck for a cliente my first deck ever and I used this pencils to mark my cuts on composite deck, they worked amazing! Even on wet surface I was able to used them, I only used two refills of each color to complete the job and I still have plenty of the second refill! I highly recommend these if you used them a lot on different color materials! I used the red on white post railing cuts and the yellow on dark brown composite deck boards and railing! Love them!

I love this. Easy to use with gloves. Lead that comes with it is hard enough to last a long time, but soft enough to easily mark a wide variety of materials. The red color makes it easy to find / hard to lose.

These are like crayon and in my opinion, leave too large/wide a mark and they wear quickly. Unfortunatey I grab only if I can't find another item for making. These are crayonish and waxey so maybe they would be much better using for something other than marking cut lines on wood which is what I intended them for. I would not buy again unless I found a niche use for them.

I was in the starting stages of completely renovating our basement by adding a bedroom and a bathroom and decided to purchase one of these "special" pencils. It has now been over 2 months and I'm still on my original piece of graphite lead. The pencil has been dropped NUMEROUS times and only had the end of the pencil shear off a small amount one time. The lead stays sharp for multiple lines, even though I have always been a person who puts a lot of pressure on pens and pencils when I write. The ease of use and the pencil sharpener in the rear end of the device makes it easy to sharpen. I absolutely love this pencil and don't foresee it breaking or me getting rid of it anytime soon (fingers crossed I don't lose it!)
