I would like the seller to contact me. I have not long had this product and it is making a constant crackling noise, even when I give it new batteries.

The alarm was working fine for around 12 months, but a few weeks ago it started to make a crackling noise. We changed the battery which worked for a few days but now the crackling sound is back

Arrives within 36hrs, well packaged. Absolutely excellent design, looks good in place. Only had it 2 days so no experience of battery life (3xAA)

It was very easy to set up and fit (5mins) dual sensor detects smoke and carbon monoxide, 5/5

Item arrived quickly and is very impressive. Small, neat and attractive, it takes up less space than the previous smoke detector only. It is easy to install - 2 screws for the backplate and then the detector just twists into place on the backplate. It takes 3xAA batteries. I've never seen AA batteries in a smoke detector before so I dont know what the battery life will be. Having said that, I always have loads of spare AAs on hand but always need to go out and buy the more standard (v especially, so I kind of like having the AAs.When the item detects CO it measures the amount and shows this on the small LCD screen. Any detectable amount gives an audible warning to open doors/windows, and any dangerous amount send it into full alarm mode. The smoke detector is a photosensor type. All in all I really like this item.Here's the 'but' though. No CE Certification is listed either in the manual, specification, packaging or on the item itself. I messaged the seller who did say it had 'amazon certification' and then did say it had CE certification. After further messages the seller did confirm part of the spec but then when asked further questions didnt really give satisfactory replies.I bought this to go into a caravan which means it needs to conform to the antivibration part of CE certification.For reference the actual certification is:BS EN 50291-1:2018 - CO detector for home useBS EN 50291-2:2019 - CO detector for fixed use in recreational vehiclesBS 5839-6 for Smoke DetectorsI can't determine whether this alarm does or doesn't meet these standards.

We purchased two of these alarms after a few months one made a strange chattering sound we contacted the seller via Amazon and after a simple question a replacement was despatched free of charge - great service
