Exactly as expected. Quality, bright granite rock pebbles. Well packaged and great value. I purchased for and used in my pots of live Bromeliad pups, in base of a couple for drainage, but primarily for decorative top layer. Then I decided to use remainder in a decorative mason jar box planter leftover from a delivery arrangement with some empty paper roll fillers and fake succulents - in progress. And I still have a third of the rocks left.

I would buy it again. I ordered 15 lbs in my first order or 3 containers. I think the box was dropped or smashed somewhere in the process as one of the 5 lb containers was busted open and filled the space as a heavy packing material. It's gravel, so I'm not worried about it, and I'm glad it was in a box, which kept the dust to a minimum. I definitely recommend washing these in a strainer a few times (rinse, wash and repeat) before you introduce them to your plant/aquarium/etc...' habitat. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and how quickly I received it.

Saw other reviews about the container busting- and I mean? It’s rocks? Mine came whole, but I realized if it did bust it would be okay bc THEY ARE ROCKS! my bf dropped the box and they still didn’t break so if your product is busted... I would complain about the handeling from Amazon and not the company itself.They were chalky, so I did rinse them off! I don’t think I needed to for the project I was using them for! Just some added decoration for some fake succulents( which I also bought from amazon!)It came early, together, and exceeded my expectations! Love them as decorative rocks for planters!

I really want to hate it but I love it-first the plastic pack was broken, second the stone not as black as pictured but it will do the job.I had to wash all the stones with sponge because it felt sticky.

Very happy with these stones. They are mostly smooth and of a good size for doing artwork or painting on them. The plastic container they came in was broken alittle at the top and taped together, but for the price, I was very pleased and happy with the stones inside. They met my needs and I will have many happy hours of painting and enjoying my artwork on these river stones. The price was basically free, except for the cost of shipping, which really wasn't that much for 5 pounds of small river stones. Even if the plastic, container lid breaks, I do think you will be very happy with the product.

Used in the bottom of my succulent bowl under the dirt for drainage, and as a topper for looks and it works great for both reasons! Pretty white, poreous so it may stain, a little dusty but didn’t bother me. Cheap and fast shipping!

These marble chunks look great coming out of the package, but they are covered in a white powder (perhaps a limestone chalk of some kind). That white powder makes them look great at first, but once you put them in a potted plant and water the plant one time, it washes the powder away, and they don't look as good as they previously did. They're still functional for holding down soils in the pots around the plants, but there is a slightly off-putting brownish tinge on a lot of the shards.

Initial review: ok i did not expect a container this large, but im more than happy with it. I did think the rock chunks would be smaller though, these are pretty large for succulents.Update:i used these in a succulent terrarium (see pic) and was supprised how many smaller stones there were, the smaller chunks seem to be in the center of the container while larger ones are along the sides. Im happy with the size now, and these look great!

Sugiero tener cuidado con el empaque, pues al ser pesado el contenido y frágil el envase mi pedido llegó con el bote contenedor roto y las piedras esparcidas en la caja.Tendré que buscar una alternativa para guardar las piedras.

1/3 of the rocks are broken

I'm using these for a stone tray for my plants, what much else can I say? Only downside is that the jar broke inside the shipping box and some fell out. It was a bit of a mess but no biggie.

so not worth it, can get the same at the dollar store for a 1/4 of the price, also came with a broken lid which had stones and dust all over
